Alice In Wonderland Theme
Alice in Wonderland themed 1st birthday. The large cupcake with carved from 3 6" rounds. Buttercream with fondant and gumpaste decorations. I had tried to make an Alice figure, but I broke my left hand a few weeks earlier and she just didn't look right, so I made the little card guy! TFL

2008 State Fair Entry
This is my entry for the 2008 SC State Fair. It was also on display at an event hosted by a wedding planner. This picture was taken by a professional photographer. They didn't really get the front of the cake, but it is still a great picture. It is 6-8-10-12" cake forms covered in MMF. The drape (you can hardly see) was MMF with clear crystal sprinkles pressed in to it. The gumpaste flowers are meant to be fictional and the centers had crystal sprinkles and silver dragees in them. Square Wedding Cake
Glad that's over! Not sure I'll ever suggest offset squares again. I did a lot of trimming to get them to fit right and they still could have been smaller. Started out as 6-8-10-12" squares covered in white buttercream. She wanted different designs on each tier. Thanks for looking!

Asian Drum Groom's Cake
So glad this cake is done! It was a lot of work, but I think it turned out great. I posted for help in the forum and THANK YOU to everyone who responded. It was six 10" rounds stacked and carved. Covered with black Satin Ice fondant. Top was made a couple days ahead out of fondant/gumpaste mix. Tassels and holders were gumpaste. Flower scene was piped on with buttercream. Thanks for looking!

Starbucks Drink
Hi. The cup was carved from a 10" square cut down the middle and stacked. Covered with buttercream and mmf. It was for my best friend whose favorite drink is a Caramel Frappucinno. I tried to get that flavor for the cake and icing also. The logo, receipt and Vera Bradley change purse were all edible images attached to fondant. She really liked it. Thanks for looking!

Tea Cup Cake
Hi! I used the bottom of the giant cup cake pan to carve the top of the cup and an 8" round for the plate. Covered both with buttercream, then white fondant. Painted the roses on with a mixture of petal dust and clear vanilla. I also painted on the gold trim with luster dust and vanilla mixture. Rose, handle and tea bag were gumpaste. Thanks for looking! Inspired by "Old Country Roses" china pattern.
