Call Of Duty Black Ops
This cake was for a 7 year old! He loves the game so they wanted a zombie and soldier on it. The figures are gumpaste. Thanks
The box of this cake was 2 9x13 cakes stacked with fondant sides. The wine bottle was made out of fondant with a paper label since the store's printer was out of ink. The wood was shaved chocolate.
Brody's First Birthday
This is a 8 and 10 inch cake iced in buttercream with MMF accents. The baby is made out of MMF too. I did it to match the invitation.
This cake was for a friend's twins first birthday. She calls them her little squirrels so that is what she wanted onthe cake. It is a six and a nine inch cake iced in buttercream with MMF decorations. Thanks for looking!
Over The Hill
I got so many ideas from all of the great cakes on here for this cake. Thanks everyone!
Retirement/moving To California
My friends boss was moving to California so they all wanted a cake in the shape of California. I carved it out of a whole sheet cake and iced it in buttercream. All of the decorations are Fondant. Thanks for looking!
I loved doing this cake and got so much inspiration from all the other gown cakes here. I used the wonder mold for the gown and the bust is a dismembered doll pick covered in black fondant. It is on a ten inch round iced in buttercream. I cut each petal using a circle cutter and layered them placing a pearl at the top of each petal. Thanks for looking.
Twin Baby Shower
I loved doing this cake! The baby molds are so amazing! This was for a friend who is having twin girls. It is iced in buttercream with fondant and gumpaste decorations. I wish the flowers on top had turned out a little better but flowers have never been my thing.
I made this for my daughters birthday. She talked about having a pink princess cake for forever. I stayed up all night making it and she looked at it and asked why the doll didn't have a yellow dress and walked off! No more fancy cakes for her! I used the wonder mold on an 8 inch round for the doll and put them on a 10 inch round. I draped fondant for the dress and brushed the whole thing with luster dust to make it sparkle. Thanks for looking.
I used the wonder mold pan and an eight inch round for this cake. I brushed the dress with luster dust to make it sparkle. Thanks for looking!
This cake was a lot of fun to do. I got some great ideas from everyone especially using the dog tags for the names. The cake is 9x13 iced in buttercream. The boys and dog tags are gumpaste. I filled three bags with the camo colors and used a 10 tip to pipe the shapes, then I waited for it to crust and smoothed it with a Viva paper towel . It was so easy to do.Thanks for looking.
This is a half a sheet cake with a FBCT of Luke on it I was in a hurry and the border wasn't as straight as I would have liked but I think Luke turned out well.
This was a small cake I threw together for a dress-up tea party my daughter went to the tablecloth and dishes are MMF. Wish I had had more time to spend on thetea set but I guess they turned out okay. The little girls all loved it so I guess that is the most important thing.
This cake didn't live up to my "vision" but I guess it still turned out okay. The cakes are 6,8,10,&12 inch covered in buttercream with stenciled scrolls. The chalice and lilies are gumpaste and the draperies are fondant. Next time I will definetly make the draperies thicker to match the size of the cake. I put this in First Communion but it was for a good friends ordination. TFL!
These are made from MMF. I had so much fun making them and cried just a little when my two year old devoured them. I guess it was his birthday but still!
This picture is not the best since I was in a hurry. The cake is a ten and an eight inch iced in buttercream with fondant buildings. The wbs are royal icing and the spidermen are toys. Thanks for looking!
This is a ten inch cake with buttercream icing and MMF decorations. This was a last minute order that would normally have had time for but I was doing my little girls birthday cake to so I ran out of time. I was literally piping the name on as the guy was pulling inte driveway. Talk about stress!
This is an eight inch cake iced in buttercream with fondant decorations. The M& M guys are made from MMF and were a lot of fun to make.
I had a lot of inspiration from all of the other gown cakes so thanks. I used the wonder mold pan for the top and a ten inch for the bottom. I was very happy with the top cake but the bottom didn't turn out like I wanted. The brides colors were champagne and pink. I worked to get the champagne color and it was perfect in the bowl but when the buttercream crusted it darkened and turned more yellow. I also waited too late to do the bow and it wasn't how I planned it. I need to not put things off. Thanks.
This bride was having a very casual wedding at her home and wanted something bright and different for her cake. I think I gave her what she wasnted. The cake is made from a double layer six, eight and ten inch. It is iced in buttercream and the decorations are MMF. I had some problems with the m on top craking but I repaired it and got it on and luckily you couldn't tell. Next time I will make the topper thicker. Thanks.
I loved doing this cake! I got lots of great ideas from all of the cakes like it in the galleries so thanks to everyone that has done a cake like this that inspired me. The cake is made from the wonder mold with an eight inch underneath it. The fin and shells are made of MMF dusted in luster dust. Thanks.
Christopher's First Birthday
This was for my little boys first birthday. Thanks to everyone that gave me suggestions on the baby and to everyone that has done cakes like this that gave me inspiration. The cake is an eight and a ten inch iced in buttercream with fondant decorations. The baby dog and number 1 are all fondant too. My liitle boy has a stuffed dog that he sleeps with so I modified Aine2's tutorial to make the little dog. I was really happy with the way it turned out. Thanks again to everyone that made it possible!
