Superman
The entire top is a FBCT and the buildings and the Ss on the sides are fondant. The woman said she wanted thirteen pieces of fondant on the cake so that each kid could have one to eat. This was the only thing I could come up with. I am really imbarrassed by this cake because of the mistakes I made. I did it at night so by the time I got to the border and writing it was 2 am and I was really tired. The border wasn't as straight as I would liked and my writing is not as very centered. The I realized that....

Juhn Deere Tractor
This a fourth of a sheet iced in buttercream. The entire top it a FBCT. I don't know how long it takes most of you to do a transfer but this one took me a couple of hours. It had so many details and was very nerve racking. The guy had seen the tractor cake that gmcakes had made and wanted one just like it. Thanks for the idea and I hope mine is close enough for the customer.

Flamingo Beach
The aunt said the little girl loved flamingos and pink and purple. This is what I came up with. At first I thought the colors were to bright but after I got the cake done I think it turned out cute. The cake is a fourth of a sheet, iced in buttercream with fondant accents. I hope the flamingos stay standing on the way to the party!!

Superman
This is a half a sheet with buttercream icing and FBCT of Superman. I was in a big hurry with this cake and wasn't very happy with it, especially the border. I did the whole top together and when I smoothed the back of the transfer I moved the picture a little. This was the biggest cake I have done using the FBCT for the entire top of the cake.

Everything that could go wrong with this cake did go wrong! Luckily it was for my son and not a customer. I tried the petal pans which I think are beautiful but I obviously am not good enough to tackle them yet. It was so hard to ice smooth. I don't know if I will ever use them after this cake.

Construction Cake
This a two layer chocolate cake decorated in buttercream with brown sugar for the dirt. I had an awful time with the stripes and I hate the fact that they are not perfectly spaced and even. I had fun doing the top of the cake though. I didn't have to worry about smoothing the icing. Yeah!!!

Pirate Cake
Sorry this picture is a little blurry. It is from my old camera. This cake turned out so much better than I thought it would, considering the circumstances. I had the cake baked and ready to decorate at noon. The party for my god-son was at five. As soon as I mixed up my first color my six year old threw a car at my seven year old and I had to take him for stitches. I got home at four and only had a half an hour to decorate it.

This is just a practice cake for my first frozen buttercream transfer. I definetly need some practice but I love the tecnique. It sure is a good thing it wasn't for anything special because my two year old took a big chunk out of it that I had to fix. I also tried putting on two different colors in the bag for a two-toned border. I like the way it turned out.

Doll Cake
I tried using the rolled buttercream fondant for her skirt for the first time. I loved the taste but found it impossible to actually get it onto the cake without it completely ripping. I finally gave up and covered her skirt in buttercream drop flowers. She was my first doll cake and I guess she turned out okay. It just wasn't the look I wanted.
