These cakes were testing a recipe before I entered it into the PA Preferred Chocolate Cake Contest at our local fair. I made the cake 4 times over the course of a month! I won, which means I get to compete against the rest of the state in January :D Here's a video showing how I did it:

I love making miniature stuff!! The technique for getting the heart shape was a disaster, 3 out of 12 actually turned out. But they were delicious! Here's a video showing how I made these, decorating starts around the 6 minute mark:

In The World Of Lava Girl...
...her friend Shark Boy is swimming around to keep her company, lava flows from her hands and volcanoes without destroying anything. This was so much fun, especially loved that I didn't have to smooth anything! 9x13 1/2 melon, 1/2 tropical punch cake (used Jello in my yellow cake recipe), volcanoes are chocolate cake, all buttercream/chocolate buttercream except Lava Girl who is candy clay.
This cake was just for fun, I wanted to see what would happen if I added strawberry jello to my regular yellow cake-it was delicious!! 4x4" strawberry cake, all buttercream
Love These Swirls!
Man these are easy! I got this one done in record time, while watching the new Bond movie ;) 8" banana cake, all buttercream (black swirls are chocolate bc).
I'm teaching another class this weekend and I wanted to see how easy it was to make these flowers :) I've made them before but it's been awhile. Almond cookies, buttercream flowers.
First Cupcake Bouquet
This was a lot easier than I thought it would be! There's too much green on this one though, next time I'll just make each cuppie a different flower.
