This one was tough. My grass tip wasn't working. so I had to pipe each little piece of his fur by hand! I still have to do the big cake tomorrow! Boy do my hands hurt!
Ok, so I swallowed my pride and did it. As a die-hard Texas Aggie (Class of '99) this was a hard one to do! I can't believe how difficult burnt orange is to achieve! Just another reason I'm glad I'm not a t-sip! Whoop! LOL! Chocolate cake with white chocolate buttercream. It took 1 tub Wilton orange, 1/2 tub Wilton brown, and 1/2 tub Wilton copper! It's a surprise for the groom!

Ok so here's my version of miniature lingerie. 50/50 mix of gumpaste and fondant. The bride's wedding colors are blue so that's why I used this color. I've included a template for the bra pattern in another gallery.

This is the template I created for the tiara on my Princess Gracie pillow cake.
Half of pillow is cheesecake cake, half is devil's food Delight covered in fondant. Scrolls painted w/ silver lustre dust & vodka. Border is gumpaste painted w/ pink orchid lustre dust. Roses are deep purple (photo makes them look blue.) Leaves painted w/ emerald lustre dust. Scepter is gumpaste w/ cookie stick wrapped in ribbon. Detail is RI painted w/ silver lustre. Tiara is RI adorned w/ jewels & fondant pearls w/ silver lustre. Plaque is gumpaste w/ RI script painted w/ pink orchid lustre.
Delivered this morning. 14", 10", and 6" red velvet cake with cocoa buttercream covered in ivory fondant. All pearls (including the 3mm) are fondant. Definitely a learning experience!
I FINALLY did it!!!! Yeah!!! I made two practice cakes that COMPLETELY bombed. This one worked the first time.
This was the cake from H%$L!!! If it could go wrong, it did. First, I put the top layer of cake on and FORGOT to put the filling in! Then the top layer broke in 8 pieces when I put it back on...at 1 AM!!! Then I dropped the tag and the RI words shattered - had to remake that. I just want to get this cake delivered and be done with it!
Pumpkin Creme Cake with Maple Pecan filling. Leaves are gumpaste (first time working with that medium), sponged with vodka-diluted color and then dry brushed with a mixture of gold and copper luster dusts. All other decorations are fondant. This cake is my entry into my boyfriend's company Thanksgiving dessert contest. We both think politics will play a big part in deciding the winner, but I'll let you know how it goes.
Coconut cream cake with banana split filling. My niece saw another cake on CC like this one is said, "I wanna 'tuttle' cake too!" It was much easier than I thought it would be. I'd like to give credit to whomever made the precious moments turtle cake, I'm sorry I can't remember who it was. Legs, tail, shell, and head are MMF. Shell is painted with emerald lustre dust. Dots are painted with orchid lustre dust. Flowers are made with royal icing.
