Ganache/fondant Fall Wedding Cake
This one was a lot of fun. The bride added the ganache idea at the last minute. I was too chicken to actually pour the ganache on and let it drip, so I came up with this whole "texturizing" idea. I put the ganache in a piping bag, and piped the outlines of the drippings on the sides of the cake and them filled it in with "swirls' of ganach and used a toothpick to put "swirls" and grooves" in the chocolate. Honestly, I think it looked even better because it added an extra element , or extra layer of texture to the cake. You can't tell very well in this picture, but the fondant was painted with a light bronze luster paint and I left it all swirly looking with my brush, before the ganache was put on. It was a very pretty cake at the reception.

Nephew's Graduation Cake
another nephew graduation. Wanted to show him going from one school to the college and show the process by using the school colors of the high school, and then the mascot and colors of the college. He was a big football player. I joked and said the figure looked like Larry Byrd. lol
