All buttercream. This was not a cake stencil and it didnt hold up very well to the buttercream. I think it would have worked better with fondant and royal icing. Gumpaste flower. The rinestone center is a button.

I made the lady bugs by using a circle cutter and then I cut the circle in half.
This was made to match the Carter's Tree Top theme from Babies "R Us for my sister in law. I purchased the wall decals for her as a gift and cut them out and scanned them in and printed them on edible paper. I put the images on a piece of fondant and used jumbo cupcakes to make the tree top. I iced the tree top and spray it green. The tree trunk is a chocolate log roll. I carved the baby's name into the truck and tried to put tree climbing animals in the tree and the ground animals on the board.
Mixed round and square with painted dragees, diamond pattern and lovey dovey words piped with various fonts.
This is a 6,8,10" square cake. Royal icing plaque stencil, with monogram. Painted gold with luster dust. Flowers are handmade and painted with the same gold dust.
This is just a simple fondant covered three tier stacked cake. I sprayed gold dust lightly to get the champagne color the bride requested and used white royal icing and a fleur de lis stencil from GSA.

White fondant covered cake, simple round Wilton cutters used for the circle. I hand painted the pink with Luster dust, I just want satisfied with the color I got from coloring the fondant.
Obviously done for a 50th birthday party. I couldnt get the buttercream on top smooth so I tried just putting fondant on the top (not sides). The numbers are covered with fondant and painted gold. When I moved the cake, it cracked a little, but it wasnt really notiable (at least not to me in person - you guys will see it I'm sure)
This was a silly cake, but the guy called the night before and wanted a luau themed cake for the next day. This is what I had on hand.

Every time I show this cake, people laugh at the little babies. I actually kept a picture with out them, as I thought they looked a bit silly.
This was a spin off of the wilton baby block cake, done on a solid white round cake. I used the blocks and added a little whimsy. It was for a little boy but the grandma said we want a little pink, and flowers anyway.
I've seen these done much better, but I was very pleased with this cake. It was a huge improvement to the last one I tried.

I wasnt really pleased with the color of the rose petals and the ribbon not matching at all. I warned the bride to use use petals without pesticide and that's what she came up with. Otherwise I was happy with it.

This couple wanted something different. I was pleased with out it turned out, except I wish the top had more squared edges, looks like a marshmallow to me.
This cake could have been better, I didnt realize how I hated that middle bow until I put it on the cake at the venue, but by then it was too late to make another. Snowflakes are fondant cut outs, they were a nightmare to make.
