Hines Ward Charity Event
Hines Ward, a player for the Pittsburgh Steelers, has a charity called the Helping Hands Foundation. He had a charity event this weekend and I donated a cake. This is the cake. It was a 12, 10, 8 & 6 (various flavors) covered in fondant. The top is a styrofoam ball designed to look like the charity logo. The top layer represents his team, and middle layers represent the hands and children. He told me he didnt want to cut it and wanted to put it on his mantle. The event was in Atlanta so the flowers are the Cherokee rose ( made with a heart shape cutter) TFL

Outhouse Pull Tab
Sorry for the poor pic quality. My camera died and this was the only pic I could get. This was made as a bday gift for a friend that is a bingoholic and while at bingo she thrives on playing the pull tab games. The Outhouse game is her favorite. This is a 9x13 covered in fondant and the items on the cake were either hand painted or air brushed. TFL

Usmc Honor Cake
This cake was made by myself and fellow CC member "Sneezie" as a gesture of our condolences for a local Marine who lost his life in Afghanistan because of a suicide bomber in late January. This was served at the luncheon following his funeral. The cakes are 14 & 12 hex, 8" circle (3layers) and a carved hat made from a 6 and 8 " round. The flag is fondant and is airbrushed.

Black, White, Pink Sweet 7 Cake
This was made for my cousins. They are twins and are turning 7. One is the princess and all about pink and butterflies, sparkles and zebraprint. The other sings to her own tune, loves animals, is fun and quirky cute. The princess wanted a Sweet 16 style cake (one in my pics) and the other wanted a Monkey Cake (like the one in my pics) so this is my best to cover both requests. All fondant except crown which is gumpaste. Of course it had to say Sweet 7 on it too.

Girl Scout Gingerbread House
My troop made this for a small local competition. They won 1st place in the Childrens Group Category and also the Peoples Choice Award in the Children's group category. I am so proud of them. It was titled The Claus Estates and there were lights inside with a silhouette of santa and a tree in the windows.

Gambrills Service Center
My work is opening a new business, which is a quick lube, auto repair and car wash all in one area. We had the ribbon cutting and I was asked to make a cake for it. I made the buildings. The roofs are styrofoam, covered in fondant and the buildings are cake. The columns are cookie pop stick. TFL
