End Of 4Th Grade
This was my first time putting the cookie layer in a cake. I went a little crazy - three cake layers and two cookies - turned out 6" high! Kids enjoyed it though. The image on the top is the church/school's logo and the little M&Ms are made into panther paw prints. This morning, I scraped off the teachers' names and did one in red and one in blue instead of these alternating letters because I didn't like it.

Seuss Cat In The Hat
This was for a teacher at my kids' school. It was my first attempt at RKT (Thing 1, Thing 2, the hat, teapot, ball) and a few other "firsts" for me. I need practice with fondant - 'bout drove me crazy trying to cover these cakes! But it all came together and made it there in one piece!

Easter Basket With Kit Kats
This turned out cute. When I saw the kit kat idea here I had to try it. I've got so much to learn with fondant - the handle and bow are a bit scarey - and I can only hope it doesn't fall off on the way to my friend's house tonight. And I should probably have waited till I got there to put the eggs in the basket. I hope they don't make the kit kats start falling over (again). But it's just for fun so I'm not going to panic about it. The 9" bottom layer is the WASC "Shirley Temple" variation torted and filled with white chocolate filling. Inside the basket is a RKT for my friend's dd who begs me to make cakes for her but doesn't actually like cake...?!? Something for everyone here!
