14x4 round french vanilla WASC cake. Every element in this cake had a story behind it; the hardest part was incorporating everything they wanted into one cake! Making a wheelchair was a challenging experience!

Heart Wedding Cake

ok, so I was just playing around and decided to try my frist wedding cake; a dummy cake, fashioned after one in Squires Kitchen Wedding Cakes (by Karen Taylor). Turned out ok I think and was pretty easy to do. Would make the topper smaller I think next time...or something. Helped me get over my fear of tiered cakes though! I had a terrible time with the Fond-X however, must have been the humidity.

Cake for a coworker's boyfriend. He is a geologist and she wanted a "rock cake." Amythest geode is RKT covered in fondant and filled with rock candy.

16Th Birthday Cake

This was my first paid cake, for a Co-worker's daughter. Fondant covered, fondant accents, 50/50 bow. WASC cake with cream cheese buttercream. Gumpaste figure in her team colors. Inspiration from Sharon's Cake Art - thank you Sharon! It was fun, but I'm glad it done!

Another Practice Cake

I've just been practicing differenct techniques so that is what this cake is. I made a lot of mistakes with it but was happy with how the concept turned out as I was just making it up as I went along!

Ok, it didn't turn out exactly like I wanted. Only had wide ribbon on hand and it made the "loops" stick out farter than I wanted. But now I know how to do it at least! WASC cake with pettinice fondant..

Clown And Elephant

50/50 gumpaste and fondant clown and elephant for the top of my circus cake I did for practice. Great fun!

Circus Cake

just playing around with different techniques and decided to make a small circus cake. Gumpast/fondant figures, fondant accents, buttercream icing. Rainbow colored WASC cake. I would do a few things differently next time, but it was good practice and quite fun to do!

Colorful Cake!

This the the first real cake decorating I've tried. I was quite happy with it although I would do a few things differently next time. I did it for my 16 yr. old daughter who loves frogs and cats. It was fun....and I love this site!
