3D Giraffe
Grass: 16X2 round Feet/Knobbies (on head): rice crispy treats covered with b/c & fondant Legs: small doll pan cut in half Body: three layers from 10X3 pan plus reg. doll pan on top of rounds Head: ball pan carved Ears: gum paste & fondant mixed - I used skewers to help hold them in place, also cut small holes in the fondant on the head to in set (same with the "knobbies") Tail: use fondant to make a tail and add brown "strings" for the hair at the end. About the middle of the stacked cakes I used a board and dowels. I now used bubble tea straws, they are much better support if you have them. If not, the dowels worked great. Use small dowels or even skewers to attach the legs (not straws). Cut the arms and legs until you can get them to "fit" around the body to attach easier. The head is the Wilton ball pan (2 - 1/2 balls), top part of ball is carved. It is also on a board. Be sure to use a larger dowel through the center of the entire cake for more support. I like to use foam core board on the bottom cake so a dowel will go through to help with securing it.

Mckenzie's Unbirthday
Inspiration from Colette Peters, Cakes to Dream On Red velvet and yellow cakes are filled with b/c, covered with fondant, gum paste handles and steam and stacked carefully. We had the best 11 year old birthday "UnBirthday" party ever thought possible. We sewed tea bags out of felt, painted small tea sets, made tissue paper tea party hats (sooo cute!) and ate the tasty confection created just for McKenzie's tea party. My sister was the party planner - she's great! I welcome your comments - TFL!

Sunkin Treasure
Chocolate 12x12x3" cake carved. "Glued" together with chocolate buttercream and covered with chocolate fondant. Fondant accents and dragees. A lady from church wanted to donate a cake to her granddaughters fall festival. I wanted/needed a reason to do this cake, so I only charged her for the cost of product. This was a fun cake to work on with my daughters. Idea from Debbie Brown's Enchanted Cakes for Children. TFL!

Sumo Jake
This was for my nephew turning 13. He is in martial arts and we checked with him to make sure he would not be offended by this cake. Of course, he loved the idea. Truely this is his personality and I love that crazy funny kid. 12X12 mat is white cake b/c filled covered w/Fondx. Sumos are strawberry cake covered w/ Fondx. The black in the bottom right is Japanese for Jake. My DH did a search and found that for me. The idea is from Debbie Brown's Easy Party Cakes.

Bible
White cake with vanilla b/c. Only the top and left side are fondant. Edible markers for the name in the corner and spine. Gold shimmer dust painted for cover. I copied our family bible (passed down from my grandmother). This cake was for a lady who chose not to fight cancer and take treatment. So, this was the best way I knew to let the family know I was praying for them.
