Little Girl's Cupcakes
Made these for my cousin's daughter who was turning 8. She and her little brother share the same Birthday, so tried to do some cakes for boys/girls. All done in buttercream frosting. They loved them and so did everyone else. Although it was more work than doing a cake, I think!

Caleb Brink's Baptismal Cake
I made this for my friends' baby's baptism. It was real short notice and I wish I would have had more time to play with the baby--would have made him a little bigger. The plates and napkins were themed "snowflakes" so I used it on the cake. She loved it and everyone thought she bought it at the specialty shop---LOVE THAT!!! :0)

Zach's 7Th Birthday
My middle son wanted a camouflage cake and I wasn't really sure how I was going to go about it, but I think it turned out pretty well. I frosted it with olive green frosting, drew in the design with black and colored in each area with a star tip. I thought I should flatten it, but my husband says camo is three-dimensional so I left it. Added the little Army dudes from Target.

Kim's Baby Shower
Posie cake--Made for my sister's baby shower for her first baby. I took the idea out of a Wilton catalog from back in the 70's!! I tried to get the old burnt orange, olive green, and brown, but to no avail. Still pretty cute, I think. The pieces were so tall that they fell over when I served them. We expected a lot more people and ended up with half the cake left over, which ended up in the middle of my friend's drive way! Ha!

Shayna's "dig In" Cake
My sister wanted a small cake for her baby to have "first-time-fun" with. She had never had sugar before and I'm not sure if she knew what to do with it, but she had a few finger-fulls! I love brown and pink together and having 3 boys myself, it gave me an opportunity to go PINK CRAZY!!!!

Jungle Cake For Cole's 9Th Birthday
This is the jungle cake presented in the Wilton book 2007----my son is totally into animals and the trees were quite a challenge for me. If you decide to try this one, add the pretzel trees later, as they absorb the moisture and tip. The leaves were made from fondant, the lake is blue gel icing, and the sand is brown sugar. He loved it and soo did his 25 friends who attended his party. Yeh for mom!! :0)

Luke's 4Th Birthday
Luke loves our indoor water park so I made this cake for him. The little children are made of fondant and the slides were covered with fondant, frosted and covered in blue gel. I filled all three cakes with chocolate and vanilla pudding. Wouldn't have it any other way! He loved it!
