Wine Cheese Groom's Cake
Groom's cake for a wine themed wedding. Bottle, crate and cheese are cake. All covered in fondant. Gumpaste/fondant mice/grapes..Groom is Lakers fan and Bride is Angels fan. Bottle wasn't as hard as I thoguht it would be. I used four 4 in rounds, laid them on their sides and cut about 1/4 of the cake off to have the semi round of the bottle.

Damask Shower
Cake for a bridal shower with a Parisian theme. I would have rather put a red flower or something on it for contrast, but they wanted all black & white. This is hardly an original design, but was excited to use a stencil for the first time. It wasn't too difficult, just time consuming since you have to wash stencil and tools for every side. It's hardly perfect, but only a cake decorator would notice! ha ha ha. Fondant covered and used royal icing for the stencil.

Engagement Party
This cake was made for an engagement party with a "fiesta" theme. I made the 3d figures out of gumpaste/fondant combo with the help of, and thanks to, AINE2's tutorial. Cake frosted in buttercream and used a paintbrush to give it a rough texture. Door, chiles, windows etc. are fondant.

Jungle Fun
Cake for a 1st Birthday with a jungle theme. 12, 9 and 6 in, covered in buttercream with fondant/gumpaste animals (posted close up of animals separate) and palm trees. Toucan is painted, and I probably added one too many spots on the giraffe..LOL! My husband gave me the idea of the giraffe spots going up the cake. Hope you guys like it.

Venetian Themed Birthday
Buttercream frosting, fondant decorations and gumpaste mask. I found the coolest tiny lights at Michaels that are the size of a larger capsule that you twist and they turn on for at leat 8 hours. I added them behind the mask, so it lit up the top of the cake! Looked totally cool b/c the party was at night. Thanks for looking. I'm tired, it was my 3rd cake for this past weekend. Normally I just do one.

My Attempt At The Martha Stewart Basketweave
So I made this b-day cake and attempted my first try of the Martha Stewart Basket weave that is posted under the articles section. It was harder than I thought. I was pleased with it, but it took a while to get the hang of it. I'm thinking it was a bit harder for me because I don't use a crusting buttercream.

Monkey Shower
I made this for my friend's suprise baby shower. She always refers to the baby as her little monkey and since she does not know what she's having, I decided to make a boy and a girl monkey in diapers. Monkeys are made out of fondant. Cake is frosted in buttercream with fondant blanket, buttons and stripes.
