Black Pearl, Pirates Of The Caribbean
Dark chocolate fudge cake, peanut butter filling, BC icing (not chocolate). Fondant accents and some RI (ships wheel, anchor, and woman at the bow). Masts & sails are dowels with fabric sails. It's actually 2 cakes stacked w/board between. And of course, gummy sharks circling the island. :)

Boy Scouts Bridging (Blue & Gold)
I made this for my son's Blue & Gold banquet (cub scouts). For those who aren't familiar with it, that is when the boys who have reached the highest level of cub scouts bridge over to boy scouts. The cake on the left is the cub scout mountain (each animal represents a cub scout rank: bobcat, tiger, wolf, bear). The mountain on the right is the boy scouts mountain. The boys crossing the bridge are fondant representions of the boys who were bridging this year. All BC with fondant decorations. The only things non-edible are the wooden bridge and the wood dowels that are serving as tent posts, and the toothpicks that are the "marshmallow sticks".

Piano Retirement Cake
This was 2 cakes put together. One chocolate w/peanut butter filling and one white w/raspberry filling. BC icing with fondant notes on the wires. The piano is rice crispy treats covered with fondant. This is for a woman who was retiring, who loved music, and plays piano in the church choir. This is also the first sheet cake I've ever made.

Gary's Golf Cake
I made this by cutting an 8" cake into a yin-yang shape and turning one upside down and arranging them into this shape. Everything is BC. The trees are ice cream cones, the rocks are fondant (my son made those), graham cracker sand, blue gel water. This was for my boss's birthday. (I was inspired by a cake done by chyana66 )

Spencer's Deer Cake
My son wanted a cake with a deer standing next to a tree with a "rub" on it (the mark left on the tree by the deer when they rub their antlers on the tree. This is a stacked cake. The top "tier" is cut in half to provide a backdrop for the deer. The half that was removed is the "grassy knoll" with the doe and fawn (I ran out of icing while decorating the grassy knoll). This is all BC. (plastic deer)

John Deere Mug
I originally posted this in the cake disasters board. The "froth" on the side is actually covering the side of the cake that fell off on the way to the party. Everyone raved about it, though. It's french avanilla cake, with strawberry filling. I did four 8-inch rounds, and the "coaster" is made of a torted 10-inch round. It's all BC and the logo is made of the pre-colored melting chocolates from Michaels.

Wilton Level 3 Class
Royal Icing petunias (that I wasn't too happy with), covered in fondant. The fondant was made from two recipies I got from my teacher. A MMF that uses MM Fluff, and a buttercream fondant. I kneaded the two together after they sat for a day. The cake was HEAVEN. It was devils food with peanut butter mousse filling. This was my first fondant cake. I was really intimidated by the idea of fondant, but it wasn't too bad. :)

Top Of Kelly's Butterfly Cake
This is the top of the cake I made. Each tier is one layer of strawberry cake and one layer of banana cake, with raspberry preserves in between. The icing is all buttercream, with buttercream flowers, and edible butterflies I made myself. It's hard to see in the picture, but I put pearl dust on the pearls trimming the tiers and on the wings of the butterflies and on the tips of the rose petals and centers of the daisies. This was for a baby shower and it's my 5th cake ever!

Final Cake For Wilton Level 2 Class
My teacher made us cascade all the way to the bottom (unlike what the book showed), and she said we didn't have to use the little Color Flow birds if we didn't want to. I thought it looked great the way it was, so I tossed the birds. This is a strawberry cake, w/strawberry filling, iced in BC, with BC flowers.

Beachy Bachelorette Cake
This is the cake I made for my bachelortte party (I volunteered to make my own cake because I just really wanted to make a cake, LOL). It's alternating layers of strawberry cake and banana cake with strawberry filling. It's iced in buttercream and the sand is crushed cinnamon graham crackers. I got the idea for this design from BlairsMom, on this site. :) This was my first teired cake, too.
