I had trouble with cake crumbs. I did a crumb coat but I guess I didn't let it dry long enough. Learned a few things. :)
I made this cake for my 6 year old grandson. It was my first time freezing a cake . I really loved how moist it was and flavorful. It is great to know that I can freeze cakes when I have a cooler day to bake in the summer and have them turn out great. YUMMY!
Blue and White Snowflake cake. My daughter in law asked me this winter to make a 'winter' cake and I intended to but got busy. The kids were all coming this weekend so I baked and decorated a snowflake. Fun to do and so yummy.
The icing is Cream Cheese Buttercream. It was harder to work with than with regular Buttercream. The cake is a Scandinavian Pineapple Cream Cake and a family secret. :o) The guitar strings look like a DRUNK put them on. LOL!

My very first try at doing painted cookies. I used Penny's Sugar Cookie recipe and Antonia's Royal Icing. Took 6 hours. Gosh! :)
Had some trouble at first. I used the wrong color for the bear body and thought I was going to run out of icing but I got it done. The snout doesn't look so neat. LOL.
This is a chocolate cake with raspberry filling. I flavored the buttercream with raspberry too. IT tasted great. I showed it to my grandson and he said "It looked like somebody died". LOL! Notice the word "NOT"!!!!!! Susie

I hadn't made a chocolate peanut butter cake and never layered. It is wonky and the frosting doesn't smooth so nice but tastes good.
Everything is getting a little easier except for the writing. I'm learning little by little. :) Susie
Here is a marbled chocolate/white cake I made with the Puffed Heart Pan from Wilton for my son and TODAY to be daughter in laws rehearsal dinner last night. I used Wedding Bouquet Flavoring in the icing and they loved everything about it. :)
I made this for my grandson's fifth birthday party yesterday that I had here. Everyone loved it!
My never having decorated cakes before daughter in law and me being very new decorated this for a party she was having for her son (of course my Grandson) :)!
Strawberry cake. I used the extender. First time doing that. It really filled the pan. :) I am still very new and very much in the practice, practice, practice stage. I added a tad of strawberry flavor to the butter cream too. I'm still getting a little of the cake showing through the butter cream.
These are the cakes that a friend helped me make back in the 80's. I used all of her supplies so I had nothing. In the past month I've bought a lot of goodies to get back into it. I've learned a lot here already. Love this forum. Susie
I did 6 cakes back in the 80's but this is all new to me now. My first practice cake. :) I only have 7 tips so it was interesting. I wanted to learn to make red and black icing. How come I seem to be MUCH more shaky????? LOL!
