I did 6 cakes back in the 80's but this is all new to me now. My first practice cake. :) I only have 7 tips so it was interesting. I wanted to learn to make red and black icing. How come I seem to be MUCH more shaky????? LOL!
Wow, that was fast. :) I was so tickled to hear you say it was smooth, I had a wicked time with the crumb coat getting wet and well through the tips here on this forum I fixed things somewhat. Thanks for much. You encouraged me. :)
Ditto about the icing, it's like glass, do you mind me asking how you did it? You've done a great job and looks like you're well on your way back to decorating.
baergarivera and Antylucifer, Thanks for the compliments! You are both really encouraging. I just took a tall glass of water in microwaved it real hot so I could dip my spatula into it and dry it off to smooth the top going only one way and then I used a Viva paper tower after it had crusted for about 45 minutes to smooth again with my hands. I learned these tips here. :) Thanks again, Susie
