Chocolate & Vanilla cake with bc icing. Face of train is fondant/gumpaste and train tracks are black licorice. TFL. :-)
This cake was a gift for my cousin's 50th birthday. I've never done anything bigger than an 8" round because I'm really a cookie person... Now I know why! It took me THREE days to complete this thing. Served 150 people, cakes were covered with MMF, figure, golf bag, and golf clubs all gumpaste, chocolate seashells. The only things not edible were the wooden skewers (radio antenna and silver railing supports around the walk-around bow). Thanks to all my cc friends for inspiration and encouragment!
My first attempt at the cupcake bouquet. I was so inspired by all the GORGEOUS photos everyone has been sharing on CC that I just had to try one for my niece's birthday.

The patterns in the fondant were made by an impression mat I found at A.C. Moore (used for clay projects). The topsy turvy cookie was inspired by a cake demonstration at an ICES meeting.
