10" Madeira cake, filled with buttercream. Inspired by Suzie Edwards, who i found online while looking for safari ideas. Female character was done with help from Lorriane(Aine2)McKay's tutorial,that lady is an angel, she desires an award. Animal models were learnt from Nancy Overmyer's book, recommended by Ladyonzlake.many thanks

12" madeira, covered in white sugarpaste/fondant, with peach trimmings, topped with handcrafted flower spray.
Inspired by Daisyz, a CC member kind enuff to share with us all. 9" madeira base, towers make of pastilage dried on kitchen roll tubes , which were later removed, turrents are inverted icecream cones. All edible(except toothpick i.e flagpole)
Shamelessly copied from Lisa, who did a better job but was generous enuff to share with us all. 10" madeira cake, piano is dark chocolate, rug is edible photo and music notes are rice paper. Cake covered in sugarpaste.

My first buttercream icing in a very long while, i now rem why i don't do buttercream, it takes forever to get it smooth! and after all the hard work i can still see some faults, made even worse misplacing my letter rack, hence the wonky inscriptions..still it could be worse hey?.. :)
Made in less that 12hrs, customer and I got our wires crossed thot b'day was next week, got a call on fri to say they were coming for cake sat morning!, dash home from work at 6pm, baked the cakes and chucked them in the fridge to cool, filled and sandwiched, then covered in royal icing(big mistake! could not get it smooth). woke up 6am to finish the piping and decoration. Customer was happy but not estatic as they wanted a flatter more field like cake, but had to work with the tin and board i had at home.
Inspired by Lindy Smith's Celebrate with a cake book. 2 Tier rich fruit cake, top tier 7"petal and bottom 10". It was great fun making this cake.
8" Madeira cake. Lady, garden equipments and leaves all made from fondant.Brown sugar was used to represent soil. Made for a sweet lady at work who recently retired. She loved it! Cake design inspired by Carol Deacon's complete step by step guide to cake decorating book
