First cake I've made since last July! I wanted to play a little.
Ignore the big bulge of icing. :D It tried to slide right off the cake.
He looks droopy because the icing was sliding like crazy..it wouldn't crust so I could smooth it. It was super smooshy but I just wanted to get it done. I HATE that darn grass tip! lol
9 inch buttercream with MMF flowers
10" marble and 6" french vanilla This is for a vow renewal tomorrow. I'm dying to put some flowers or SOMETHING on it but, she wanted it totally bare. lol
This one goes with the hugs and stitches cake. I'd made a ladybug smash cake that bombed and had to come up with this one REALLY quick. lol
I've been dying to do one of the Hugs n Stitches cakes. Iced in buttercream with MMF one, butterfly, and flowers.
NFSC and Antonia's icing. I saw a few variations of these in the gallery yesterday and thought they would be perfect for the kids. Please, be kind. This is my first serious attempt at cookies. I see the flaws but, the kids think them perfect. I'm good with that. LOL

A little 6" for my SIL's birthday.
This is my very first cake done for someone outside the family. After some stubborn fondant, crusting buttercream that refused to crust, and a couple of panic attacks...I'm pretty proud of it. The "mommy" isn't centered on the cake and the roses at the hem line were a spur of the moment "oh no gotta cover my screw up" addition. Not what I had planned but I'm happy with it. :D
I've decided my hands just aren't steady enough for this! LOL This is a 6" spice cake w/crusting cream cheese icing.
French vanilla with chocolate buttercream. I LOVED LOVED LOVED using the Hershey kisses as the rose bases. My roses have never looked so good! LOL
Princess cake for my daughter's 5th birthday today. Chocolate fudge/French Vanilla iced in buttercream with fondant accents. My first real go-around with fondant and I LOVE it. It's so much more fun! Icing isn't very smooth because the birthday girl insisted on bumping my elbow every five seconds so I just let it go. LOL Overall, I'm proud of it.
This was just for me to try out a new recipe (the Durable cake recipe) and the VIVA method. I absolutely loved both. :D I still have a long way to go on those roses though.
This is just a fun practice cake. I'm still learning! It's a 9 inch chocolate fudge cake with cookies 'n cream filling. All buttercream.
