Two cakes for baby cousins being christened on the same day.
Two tiered smash cake for first birthday.
This is a royal icing runout on a fondant covered board. I used the tutorial from cakejournal.com
This was made for a Halloween Boss's Day luncheon. My boss loves Wizard of Oz and forced the whole staff to dress to that theme for Halloween. So I figured a cake needed to fit the theme as well.
I was asked to make a cake like my High School Musical cake, but Camp Rock instead. Wasn't even sure what Camp Rock was. I'm so not cool with the 10 year old crowd!
This was carved from a 12x18. I used the carved off parts to make the handle. I used my own tennis racket to draw my template for carving, so its life-sized (plus buttercream and fondant). The strings were made using a clay extruder.
buttercream w/ fondant accents and a hand modeled poodle topper.
Carved from a 12x18. The stem (or whatever that thing is called) is foam core covered with fondant. Its supported by a piece of foam core standing up underneath it. The strings are spaghetti. It was fun, but I'm definitely done with that sucker!
This was a joint effort between my 7 year old daughter and I. We did it just for fun 'cause I'd already finished my two cakes for the weekend.....We slaved over this baby for hours.
This was just a really small cake to go with a gift certificate to be raffled off at a youth travel hockey fund raiser event.
Made for a 20 year high school reunion. two 9" and 10" rounds put together to form 88.
For a little princess' third birthday. 8" square and 6" round with rice krispie treat towers.
This was for a wedding shower where the bride's new name will be Hartz so the theme was hearts. This cake gave me fits! Don't look at the back ;-0!
Original design by Laura Lucov Wedding Cakes.
The customer is throwing her best friend an "old school" party. Everyone will be dressed in their 80's best. This was fun. Need to "brush up" on my airbrushing.
My friend asked me to make this cake for a farewell party she's throwing for her brother who is moving to Wisconsin. They're having a cheese themed party. She's so clever!
