Sweets Kitchen- This is my show piece for the Take The Cake show in Arizona at the Scottsdale Culinary Arts Festival. The theme was "the arts" so I chose culinary arts. All the pieces are hand made without molds except the sugar sculpture and the trim on the cabinets.
There is a chocolate show piece, wedding cake, birthday cake, cookies, croissants, cream puffs, candy apples, cakes, black forest cake, various breads, plated desserts: choc covered strawberries, lemon cakes, chocolate mousse, choc cakes, a Kitchen Aid mixer, measuring cups, spoons, pastry wheel, fondant smoother, piping bags, spatula, rolling pin, bowls of frosting, dishes, bowls, pot on stove, oven mitts, hand towels, Hobart mixer, bag of powdered sugar, bucket of fondant, sugar sculpture on table, rug, two pots of cactus, fridge, stove, ovens, sinks and sign.
I tied for 2nd place in People's Choice and got 3rd place for Chef's choice.
