Square Wedding Cake
This is a small cake based off of the top two tiers of my larger black and white wedding cake in my photos. The customer wanted ivory and chocolate brown (although it's hard to tell). The topper is from Michael's, and came with the instructions from the Bride to "hide the base as best you can." After staring at the base for 4 hours, I decided that there was no use in trying to cover it completely...so I just added a few touches here and there! I'm happy with it! TFL!

The French Connection
For a client who is an event planner. I've made Birthday cakes for the same customer (her customer...she's MY customer..LOL!) for the last two years now. There was a fuzzy black boa that trimmed out the base, but since I did not deliver the cake to the actual venue (my event planner customer did), I did not attach the boa to the base. I didn't want it to get ripped off during transport. Also, my RI Eiffel Tower shattered (I have the worst luck with RI), so I had to make one from RKT instead.

Pretty In Pink
For my Wife's Cousin's wedding on 8/7/2010. This cake was particularly stressfull because 1.) I was also in the wedding 2.) My Wife and kids were in the wedding, 3.) I was doing the cake! The day of the wedding meant one 30 minute drive to the hotel to drop off our tux's and dresses. Took the kids to the in-laws, Wife for hair and make-up. Drove 30 minutes back home, picked up the cake, and drove 30 minutes back to the venue! Set up the cake. Picked up the Wife from the salon (Luckily my Wife's other Cousin was there, so she picked up my kids from the in-law's and took them to the hotel and got them dressed) and drove back to the hotel to get ourselves ready! Don't know how we got everything done on time!! But the cake was a hit with the Bride who made me stress out trying to figure out how to make a "traditional, elegant, and modern" cake!! Whew!!! thanks for looking! Hope you like it!

Eagle Scout Graduation
For a client at the bakery. The campaign cover is an exact replica of the one worn by the client's Son with his uniform! As soon as I saw the unique cover with all of the personalized details, I knew that this would be the perfect article to represent him and all of his achievements through Scouting! Took me HOURS to do it! All in one night...I've slept 1 hour today! LOL! But I'm so proud of this cake, and very honored to be given the chance to do it for such an outstanding young man!

Black, White, And Fuscia Wedding
This was made for an old friend of my from High School who got married over the weekend! The "fuscia" turned a bit lavender after the sun hit it (darn photosensitive gel colors!), but overall, I think it came out perfect!! I don't do many wedding cakes, so please, feel free to offer some constructive critism!

Topsy Turvy Tiki Gods
Thank you to everyone on CC for the inspiration and so many great examples of this cake! I had a lot of fun on this one, and it really was a snap to put together! And...it gave me a great way of getting rid of all of the small batches of colored fondant I've been holding onto!! TFL!

Green Army Man
For my Son's 5th Birthday. This didn't quite come out the way I had planned. I've done plenty of 3D busts before, so structurally, this cake was very sound. The cake was too moist, so the shoulders literally fell off while I was decorating!! And the face came out all wrong because my first layer of fondant on the face was paper thin and I couldn't mold a thing out of it. Instead of removing the thin fondant, I just applied another layer over it...making it too thick!! So that's why his normal face looks a bit Mongo-ish!! LOL!! Thanks for looking!! Sorry Son!!

Louis Vuitton 2010 Inauguration Event
I was hired by Louis Vuitton North America to create a cake for the Inauguration of their newest manufacturing/distribution center in Ontario, Ca! After many, many, many, design sessions, changes, tweaking, etc., this is the final design they chose! The logos are all fondant cut-outs from stencils I hand made! The cake is covered in dark modeling chocolate to simulate leather, and the cake is trimmed out to resemble a steamer trunk, which is what Louis Vuitton originally manufactured back in the day! Oh...BTW...there is another identical cake too! They needed TWO cakes for the event because they had so many VIP's in attendance! This cake has been my whole life for the past month and half!! I'm so happy to have been chosen by such a prestigious client!! TFL!

Black And White Wedding Cake
I made this dummy as a display cake for my bakery! I heard that the colors for 2010 were black and white, and I just had to try to come up with something! Sorry for the poor picture quality... My real camera is on the fritz! The scrolls are all hand cut with an X-Acto knife and a stencil. TFL!
