I used another pic from this site and figured out how to do it myself. This is a carrot cake with buttercream frosting. The cap is a half-round covered in fondant. The top of the cap is a cut piece of cardboard with fondant as well. The flower is fondant on a wire dusted with luster dust and the diploma is rice paper with edible food writers.

I actually did this cake for a demonstration for classes. I came up with the idea from a cake in a book I just purchased, but I changed it up to do the whole cake in buttercream. I wanted to keep it simple enough so people wouldn't be intimidated by the design. The colors worked better than I thought they would!

Mardi Gras Birthday
This is my first topsy-turvy cake. It is covered in fondant. The bottom tier is chocolate and the top two layers are yellow butter. The masks are handmade from fondant and painted with luster dusts. I'm pretty happy with how it came out. The birthday girl was really excited about it!

Jungle Friends
This is my adaptation of another cake addicts cake. The cake is a chocolate layer cake decorated with buttercream. The animals are hand made in fondant. These were my first fondant figures and they came out pretty cute. I love the monkeys and the hippo. The parent's of the birthday boy loved it!

Fondant With Daisies
I did this cake really quickly to put on display for Wilton cake classes at Hobby Lobby. The fondant wasn't even smoothed out and one of the royal icing flowers broke when they moved the display case, but they are still getting a lot of students because of this. The daisies did come out pretty well though.

Glorious Morning
This is my first wedding cake. It is based on a Wilton design and the bride wanted the same color morning glories. Flowers are made with royal icing and sprays are handmade. The cake was fudge marble and the filling was chocolate ganache with Godiva Chocolate liquor. I also used my own almond buttercream.
