Pooh Bear Pool Party
This was for my neice's first birthday, and she was in awe....teehee! White cake covered in buttercream. Purchased figures so they could be played with later. Berry blue jelly for water, edible chocolate rocks, graham crumbs for sand. Inspiration came from a few cakes I saw here, but can't remember names, sorry. Thanks for looking.

My Sister's Horse Birthday Cake
My sister has never had a cake made specially for her....until this one. She usually ends up with a store bought ice cream cake. Chocolate fudge cake, buttercream with chocolate buttercream for all the piping. She has always loved horses, so....I made sure there were lots for her. :P Of course, she has the real things, but they aren't made with chocolate, and you can't eat them, but they try to nibble on her sometimes. Maybe she can think of this as payback? lol

Basic Birthday Cake
I wanted to decorate this cake very fancy, with brushed embroidery, but my niece was helping and this was our compromise. I also decorated it at my parent's place over an hour away from home and forgot my brushes, so........this is our collaborated surprise for my sister. Purple, of course, is my niece's favorite color. :P

Ganache Covered Valentines For Vet Clinic
My sister works at a small animal vet clinic and she didn't have the best V day celebration, so I decided to send her some devil's food chocolate (individual serving size) cakes covered in chocolate ganache. What better way to cheer up a sis than by sending her chocolate? :D

Horse And Farm Tractor Birthday Cake
A combination of my neice's and Dad's birthday. I had to try to incorporate 2 different themes, so I chose the horses for my neice, and the method my Dad uses to feed the horses. Buttercream icing, fondant tractor and bale, Royal icing horses, and purchased My Little Ponies (because she wanted to keep and play with them).

Meaghan's Birthday Cake
DH White cake with strawberry filling. Made for my sister's co-worker's birthday. I tried something different with this one. Strawberry filling was sandwiched between icing layers in the middle. Kept the filling from seeping into the cake. I was told she tried to put off cutting it for as long as possible, cause she just didn't want to cut it. She even ran out to get a camera to get a pic before it was cut. :P

Wwii P51D Mustang Fbct
I don't seem to try anything easy for my first attempts...lol. This is the cake for my Sweetheart. It was his birthday, and a surprise party. I knew I was going to put his fave plane on the cake, but didn't know how until I read up on the frozen buttercream transfer method. He loved it, and didn't want to cut into it. It is all buttercream and I wanted the border to resemble clouds, which they do ...sort of :P
