Pirate Face Cake
Last minute order. Pirate face is 1/2 ball pan completely done in fondant, apart from the earring which is gumpaste - based on a Wilton site design. Beneath is a 10in round cake decorated with buttercream and gold foil chocolate coins all around the sides (which you can't see in the photo!). Gold dragees and disco glitter to finish. Surprisingly quick to do - 5 hours from getting out the ingredients to placing the last dragee!

Manly Stripes
I hate doing cakes for men, but for my ballroom dancing partner, I'll make an exception :-)! This is my birthday gift to him - 6in round carrot cake, filled with vanilla buttercream, covered with fondant. Whole thing dusted with Supreme Sparkle dust and the stars & greeting sprinkled with disco glitter.

Baby Cookies
I've made these decorated sugar cookies as a new line for the shop where I sell some non-cake goodies. These are the baby ones I did, I have some general ones that I still have to decorate, but I will upload a pic when I'm finished. Vanilla sugar cookies decorated with fondant and lots of disco sparkles.

Graduated Pink Scrolls
This is a dummy cake that I've done for the Expat fair this weekend - hoping it'll get me some more customers, especially wedding ones! 4, 6, 9 &12in rounds covered in graduating pink fondant then dusted with Supreme Sparkle dust (thanks CC!). Scroll work and borders are RI which has been painted with a 50/50 mix of Supreme Sparkle & Super Pearl lustre dust. Heart are gumpaste dipped in White Diamond edible glitter. I woke up at 3am last week with this design in my head and just had to do it!

Collette Inspired Cake
6in, 9in & 12in round covered with fondant, embossed with small cutting wheel and painted with lustre dust (took HOURS!). Ribbon roses, gumpaste teardrop pearls on wires and royal detail on middle tier. Inspired by Collette Peters' Caprice de Jacques design, but with bolder colours and a lot less froo-froo details (I love the original, but the request was for something much less girly than that :-().

Butterflies & Jewels
I made this wedding cake whilst on vacation this week as a wedding gift for our friends who are getting married on the 24th August. All I knew was that her colours were ivory and baby pink, so I based my cake around that! 6in, 8in & 10in beautiful boozy rich fruit cakes, covered in marzipan and then in ivory fondant. Dusted with ivory pearl lustre dust and trimmed with pink ribbon and diamond jewel trim. Ribbon roses are fondant and the topper is pink jewelled hearts and silk butterflies.

Dancing Presents
I made this as a joint birthday cake for my nephews whilst on vacation this week. Based on a design in Debbie Brown's new book 'Easy Party Cakes', but changed a fair bit to give it my own twist ;-)! 8in chocolate Madeira cake covered with fondant - had to wing this as I made it at my Mum's with none of my tools available, so I don't think I did a bad job considering :-)!

Ineke's Shoe
My first attempt at a shoe & shoebox cake. I like my shoe, but the lid of the box drove me crazy and I'm still unhappy with it! 10in square chocolate cake torted, cut in half and stacked with vanilla buttercream. Covered with fondant with lots of lustre and sparkle dusts and gumpaste shoe.

Hairy Dog
This is one part of a two part cake - there will also be a doll skirt cake on the same board, but I just wanted to capture this little guy on his own as I think he turned out very cute!. Bone is a 12in jelly roll covered with fondant and the dog is gumpaste. I was asked to do the dog like the family's deceased pet - they sent me a photo!

The Ant & The Aardvark
Made for my ballroom dancing partner's grandson's first birthday (whew, that was long-winded!). There will be a tennis ball smash cake to go with it (don't ask!). 12in hexagon chocolate cake filled with chocolate buttercream. Covered with fondant and decorated with fondant & royal icing. The figures are gumpaste and are going to be kept which is why I've made the whole top of the cake removable (you can just see the silver line of the board the scene sits on. Humidity has been a nightmare!

Chocolate 16Th
Ugh! I hate doing cakes for boys, especially teenage ones, I never know what to do! The mother of this boy just had 2 requests - that the cake be chocolate and in the shape of number 16. Well, I did that, but I'm just not happy with the rest :-(. 1 layer 8in square cut in half and stacked, plus double layer 8in round carved into a 6. Finished with chocolate buttercream, fondant accents and dragees.
