Another Submarine Cake
sorry it is hard to see, but this is the only photo i have of it. I made this for my hubby's command picnic. People were afraid to eat the sub because they thought it wasn't cake. Someone finally asked me if they can eat the sub. I thought that was pretty funny. the submarine is made out of chocolate mmf

Uss Louisiana Cake
Here is another Louie cake I did for my husbands command picnic. I made the cake gold because they are the gold crew. I think this one turned out better than my first one. It is a FBCT. It is a white cake with strawberry filling. One lady said that it was better than her wedding cake. =0)

Thank You Cake
This is the cake I made for my daughters first grade teacher as an end of the year thank you. I was having major bulging issues, but after 2 hours of trying to fix it i gave up and just decorated it. My first time doing the embroidery technique. Definitely need more practice. Same with the swiss dots.

Daddy's Little Mice Sure Are Nice
Each little mouse represents one of our kids. The two older girls are smelling the flowers, the boys are sliding down the leaf slide, and the baby is asleep in a flower with a bandaged paw, because she burned her hand two weeks ago. All flowers, mice, leaves, and bumble bee are made out of fondant. Grass is buttercream. The top layer is white cake with strawberry filling, bottom cake is chocolate fudge cake with fudgy chocolate orange filling. I made this for my final wilton 3 class for fathers day.

Purple Rose
tThis is the last cake I did for wilton class course 1, class #4. We learned the rose. I was scared of the roses. (LOL) I chose to do mine all in shades of purple, with a ruffle bottom border, and cornelli lace on the sides. (this is also my first attempt at doing cornelli lace) Cornelli lace can cover a multitude of smoothing issues. I made all of the roses in class, the middle rose is the last rose that I made.It is by far the best. The rest aren't bad (imho), but I still need a lot of practice

Submarine Cake
This is the third and final cake in the series of cakes I made for my hubbies goodbye party. Overall I would say I did pretty well considering they were only the 3rd, 4th, and 5th decorated cakes I have ever made. The cake itself is a white cake with bavarian cream filling and buttercream frosting. The sub is covered in chocolate mmf (MMMM soo tasty) and painted with black food coloring, everything else is buttercream.

Batman Birthday Cake
I made this cake for my son's 5th birthday. It is my 2nd cake I have done. The first one is in my photos. Buildings, signal, and word splats made with cookies and royal icing. Not real happy with how they turned out, but not willing to take the time to do it again. =) They are supported with toothpicks and extra icing. covered in buttercream. I tried to get it as smooth as possible but it wasn't working for me so I gave up.

Tree Cake For Mom's Birthday
This is my first ever fondant, tiered, decorated cake. I made it with mmf and did the snowflakes and tree details with royal icing. I got the idea out of the wilton book. I think it turned out pretty well, since it is the first cake I have ever done that wasn't your basic 13 by 9 pan or molded pan with buttercream on it.
