Daughter's 1St B-Day
This was for my daughter's 1st birthday. I learned so much doing this cake. 1. Place one block on the board at a time. 2.Take your time. 3.There is nothing wrong with using fondant for the look. 4. Don't use a buttery butter cream on a HOT afternoon. Aside from all that I think it turned out ok. But she loved her smash cake(not pictured) so that's what made it all worth it.

Book Of Monsters
This cake was so easy and too much fun. My daughter is a Harry Potter nut. So I came up with this one. It is a sheet cake cut in half. The cake is frosted in chocolate butter cream, and has fondant accents. The "furry" look came about by using a fork. It's crazy just how easy this one was.

1965 Volkswagon Bug
My hubby is a VW junky. So I formed this cake to look like a '65. It was simple really. An 8' round cut in half and standing on its cut side, and the wheels are the tops of cup cakes. I covered the whole cake in fondant. He liked it, but he said there were a few things out of place. Leave it to a guy to find something wrong with a car cake.

Cowboy Cake
This cake was for my father in law and his new wife. She is completely nuts for the cowboy theme. It was a very simpe disign, as you can see. All butter cream. You'd never know the cake had an acident on the way to the reception. The larger layer slid off it's board and cracked in three places. Ahhh, frosting patches all mistakes! Thank goodness!!

Clowning Around
My daughter loves clowns. So we came up with this idea. The balls that the clowns are sitting on a ball spacers from Wilton, and are covered in fondant. The balls that the clowns are juggling are on a really thin piece of floral wire. I think it turned out pretty darn cute. And she loved it so that's what counts.
