This cake was a combinaion of a few cakes that the bride really liked. The colors are deep purple, ivory and silver. Ribbon was a slate color, but the lack of lighting make the photo dark and it appears black. This is 6, 8, 11 & 13 (The top was supposed to only be a 5", but after seeing how big & heavy that topper was I changed up the size of the cake at the last minute to avoid mishap). This cake was for a very intimate gathering. Bride wanted champagne colored buttercream. Bride supplied silk flowers to use in the 2" lift. TFL!!!

White cake, 2 layers of chocolate gananche and one layer of raspberry filling. Pale pinkish/mauve color for bow and fondant band to match bride's gown. Coarse sanding sugar and mini edible pearls attached to bands to replicate heavily beaded bands on brides gown. TFL
Bride chose different colors, but used same basic design as another cake I've done. TFL
Top and bottom are chocomint cake with mint buttercream filling and icing. Middle tier is White Almond Cream. Milk chocolate ganache over all. Replicated image bride found on line. Thanks for looking! =) I enjoyed this one...not your standard style for wedding cake!

This cake was done for a friend's son, so it didn't have to be too technical (or so I thought). He pointed out at the party that it was "ok...but clearly one of the guns is facing the wrong direction"! Oh well...I tried! TFL!!!!
Made fondant shoes per Anna (stellarstarchild) directions! Seems everyone is posting so many Converse shoes lately and I didn't want left out! ;) Cake is 3 layers of 2" cake with tons of caramel filling and chocolate buttercream. Repeated star design from shoe onto cake in light blue. Love the blue and brown color combo that's popular. TFL!!
Worked for HOURS on this cake, but it was fun and customer loved it. My favorite items were the french fries in ketchup and the flip flops (on the side). Lots of other details not visible in the pic- 3D cheeseburger, 3d poptops, compass, a 5'oclock somewhere clock, sand, rocks, shark fins all around the top of the bottom tier (ahem...swimming to the left AND to the right). Palm trees/leaves on wires and inserted into straws. (9" over a 12" cake). TFL!!
Made cake from picture supplied by customer for Ohio State Graduation. Cake is made from 11 x 15 layers of half choc & half white, carved out center about 1/2" down and filled with some chocolate ganache. Buckeyes are from candy store b/c I didn't have enough time to make a batch of candies that weekend.
I totally hi-jacked "momsandraven" design on this cake. This was for a HS graduation. Carved cake with buttercream icing, fondant eyes, ears and scarf. Airbrushed details and color. Rice paper diploma on skewers and inserted in cake.
This is a version of the Over the Hill cake, but celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary. It was a blast to do- you really look forward to meeting the folks after learning so much about their life. They were absolutely lovely! Lemon cake with raspberry filling. Daughter who ordered the cake makes signs as a profession, so you can see how "clean" and "finished" it makes the cake look. Lots of fun to do.
For an Ohio State themed wedding reception. I was a bit nervous about a whole tier being red icing, but it seemed to work out okay. Experienced bakers....I am open to any suggestions or critiques as I am working really hard on taking more wedding cake orders and branching out my business...And my DH took the lovely crooked picture :) TFL!!
Cut from a 12 x 18 cake. Buttercream with fondant accents. The mom specifically requested the pom pom on the skate! Remember those...oh, I guess I'm showing my age now!!!!

Customer requested cupcakes for daughter's last day of school prior to moving out of state. Fun, but time consuming. Black and pink sugar pearls, airbrushed cheeks, snowflake sprinkles for hat and clear sparkle flake things to make the ball of the hat look "fuzzy". Inspired by Christmas cupcakes by Cakery.
This cake was inspired by a cake done by Florimbio for a child's spa party. Carved from two ovals (smallest and next size up in set). Constructed like my Mario and Buzz cakes. I liked this cake much better BEFORE the mud mask. I think the color (which customer requested) just doesn't work for me. I would have preferred green :( Oh well. Lips and board decos are all chocolate.
Not a great photo, but happy to finally have a copy. My pic was blurred and had to settle for one from bride's grandma! Choc. cake w/rasp. filling, fondant covered, ring is all gumpaste with zig-zag details in RI, airbrushed silver. Latch on front of box is police shield since bride was marrying policeman. Someone picked up the box lid at the party, so if it looks a little bowed....well, it is. The words on top of cake say, "With this ring..." in case you can't see in the downloaded photo.
Cake for 2 yo. Mom very specific about order. 9" choc. cake w/rasp. filling, covered in fondant, with snowflakes and "artwork" must match the snow angels on guest of honor's dress from Janie and Jack store.
