this was a cake for a pizza hut managers birthday...you cant see it very well but i used red chocolate meltaways and melted one over a plastic toy tomato slice to get the tomato seed impresion...it will be presented in a pizza box
this caterpillar cake is for a sports themed first birthday party...the grandma wanted primary colors and sports but also whimsy for a one year old...the face of the caterpillar was done to resemble the plates she bought for the party
another last minute request... my boss is a fisherman and a doctor so i had to incorporate the 2 into this cake...the request came in the night before his birthday so there are a couple of things that werent thought out...like the white sides on the cake (should have been light blue/green) and i ran out of white candy clay so i had to use white frosting for the lab coat...but they liked it anyhow!
thanksgiving cake that I finally got the picture back on...better late than never...my first try at making gumpaste leaves turned out well...but the basket i will do differently next time...covered it in chocolate frosting with light brown "slats" then fondant rings
choolate stump cake for a friends daughters wedding...the bark is dark and regular chocolate meltaways... the axe and caterpillar are candy clay...I ran out of time and had to use feather butterflies that matched the brides cake.

this cake is my first real cake sold to a client!!! it was a strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting for a 35th birthday party...the man is a triathlete, so no pressure to get the details right, huh?? the figures, bouys, and cones are made of candy clay and the rest is frosting and cake spray on a 2 tier offset oval.
