Bumblebee Beehive
This beehive cake was made using the Wilton Wonder Mold. It is frosted in buttercream with fondant entrance. Fondant is white Satin Ice with black paste color added. The buttercream is tinted with brown and yellow paste colors. I didn't want to smooth the icing as i wanted it to have a more natural, realistic look.

Sweet 16 Cake Thrown Together In 90 Minutes
My daughter asked me at the last minute to bake her friend a Sweet 16 birthday cake. Luckily, I already had 2 rounds baked. I only had 90 minutes to ice and decorate the cake before her friend was stopping by. The cake is iced in buttercream and decorated with fondant (Satin Ice) accents. The roses are the simple rounds that you roll up. Leaves are buttercream. Photo is an edible image printed with Epson C88+ on a Kopykake frosting sheet.

Retire To Warmer Weather Cake
I made this cake for my sister who is retiring and planning to move to a warmer climate. The cake is frosted in buttercream. It also has chocolate shells and crushed vanilla wafers and piping gel for sand. The turtle in the background is Wilton fondant and gumpaste. My first try at molding something.

Chocolate Ganache Cake With Chocolate Strawberries
This is my first time making chocolate ganache. I've heard so much about it and wanted to give it a try. I used only two ingredients equal parts dark chocolate and heavy whipping cream. Some recipes call for butter and another ingredient which I can't remember. Anyway, the ganache was very easy to make and spread like a dream. The strawberries are dipped in milk chocolate then drizzled with white chocolate. I just tried a piece. It is great, now I am giving the rest to my neighbors so I don't eat it.

Tiered Easter Cake: Wilton Course 3
This is my final cake from Wilton Course 3. It was my own design. I made MMF and colored it pink. The MMF was very hard for me to work with on first try. My first (Wilton) fondant cake was square and I was able to cover the cake perfectly without all the creases that I got in this one. My teacher gave me more instructions for working with MMF next time, so I hope to do a better job the second time around.
