Thanks to dish1971 for this idea. I added a pilgrim's hat for fun. Red velvet cake covered in fondant. All decorations are fondant with gumtex added for stability. I used feathers from the craft store.
I tried my best to make gumpaste mums but they were pitiful. I threw in the towel or should I say rolling pin and cutters and bought silk ones. I made the fondant leaves around the border. this is for a school bake sale.
Cover is an edible image. I painted on gold highlghter dust over the letters. The sides are fondant and I also painted the pages with the gold dust.
