Baby Blocks
This was my first try at Baby Blocks. This picture was before the client's husband picked it up and put in his SLANTED backseat becasue he had too much STUFF in the trunk. Needless to say I had to go over her house and repair it by the time we was thru. White Choc BC with color flow pieces.

Air Force Security Forces Retirement Cake
This was the royal icing badge I created. I was so proud of myself. I cracked when i pressed it down on the cake. I was careful peeling it off the wax paper and then....THE CRACK HEARD ROUND THE WORLD. It was a clean break though, i was able to just push it back together and most didn't notice. Choc. cake WC IMBC, Royal Icing wording and dots

Pink And Purple Barbie
All Buttercream with left over violets from Wilton Course II. Top part of dress is fondant. This was fun. The hardest thing believe it or not was doing her hair. I accidently resized the photo's too small and deleted the originals before checking. Very smart of me, huh? Hope you don't have to squint too hard to see it.

Thomas The Tank
Thomas, the 8s, BEN, and the dots are all color flow. I had fun doing this one and rather simple. Just made the colorflow two weeks in advance to give them time to dry. I love it when clients give you enough time to plan. Thomas did break in the corner when I peeled him off the wax paper but I just stuck it back up there.

Post Office Package
This cake was done for the guys in our mailroom at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany as a gift of appreciation for their hard work. I used cocoa powder in the MMF but used too much because it's not paper bag brown color. Anyway, good cake though. Butter cake with strawberry coolwhip filling.

Brokenhearted Mickey
This cake was done for my girlfriend who was leaving the Air Force and going back to the states. I'm going to miss her very much. I did Mickey because she, even at the age of 34y/o has an unnatural affection for Mickey Mouse. Her house is almost completed decorated with Mickey and Clowns. She doesn't like Minnie, though. I think she's jealous cause she wants Mickey all to herself. She refers to Minnie as that B!%*H! Red Velvet (always leaves crumbs) w/ white chocolate cream cheese frosting.

Chocolate Retirement
This was a big cake. It's two 11x15s with a book cake on top. The chocolate base is two toned. Apparently, when you let chocolate sit at room temp too long before you pipe it, it get's darker. The piping is both light and dark. I tried to camoflauge (sp?) it a little by sprinkling cocoa powder on it but to no avail. Who knew!!! Bookmard and tassel are fondant. flowers are royal. Icing is a chocolate buttercream.

Quilted Bed
This cake was done for a friend of a friend who took my old bed to the trash. To be honest I just wanted to practice making a bed cake. I tried to be scientific about the whole thing and measure and even made and exact replica of the quilt on power point but in the end I had to improvise because I didn't take into account the rise of the cake (I didn't want to level it because I bed is fluffy) and the extra inches added on by the frosting. Anyway lessons learned
