Cookies n' cream ice cream cake. Iced with vanilla ice cream. BC football field, footballs and helmets are molded candy melts. Logo is a pick that my local grocery store baker sold to me for 15 cents. The field was done with the large icing tip. Not sure it has a number. It's the tip that some use for spreading the icing evenly out of a pastry bag. One side is serated. I used a piece of tape lengthwise to limit the flow of icing.

Pokemon Ice Cream Cake
Thanks to all on CC for inspiration for my son's Pokemon cake. We featured Zubat on top of the Pokeball. 10" round cake, 4 inch styrafoam ball - covered w/ fondant, Zubat made from fondant. Bat secured to ball, and ball secured to cake with lollipop sticks. BC borders and stripes. Fondant name and #5. I transported cake (without fondant pieces) in my cooler with ice. We drove over 1 hour. It was perfect. No melting at all.

Metal Mulisha
My brother in law LOVED his Metal Mulisha cake. Cream cheese icing. Crusting cream cheese black chain and barbed wire borders (recipe posted on CC by edencakes). Red fondant strip. This cake was headed for a disaster. 10x10 carrot cake was too heavy and started sliding. As a result, I used the fondant strip to cover the trouble and the "pull out" technique to disguise the sides. Fondant image on top. Cake board design taken from Yahoo, with my own computer font.

Lady Bug Ice Cream Cake
This design came from "Socake". A big thanks to her for graciously sharing her work with us. Mom-to-be loved this lady bug, which matched her bedding theme. I sliced an 8" styrafoam ball for bug body and covered w/ plastic wrap, then fondant. Painted eyelashes and pupils. Antennae are painted lollipop sticks, with balls of fondant. Choc. cake with mint choc. chip ice cream. Iced with vanilla ice cream, tinted whipped cream borders. Surprise layer of chocolate ganached mixed with crushed oreo cookies

Mom's Chocolate Motrin Cake
Chocolate cake, kahlua coffee chocolate ganache filling, chocolate buttercream icing and borders. Roses are made from tootsie rolls. I melt multiple tootsie rolls in microwave for 10 seconds, form, and press (like fondant). Then I sculpt, cut and shape. I keep re-heating tootsies as I go. I lay them on wax or parchment paper. Thanks to CC'er, "HollyPJ" for the tootsie roll idea.

Purple Daisy Birthday Cake
For an 8th grade girl's graduation. Chocolate satin icing, chocolate cake. Top border piped with tip #199 in chocolate ganache. Bottom flower border cut from rolled tootsie roll; glued with chocolate icing. Chocolate icing for flower centers. Top flowers molded from candy melts, with lollipop sticks.

Chocolate Valentine's Cake
This is an ice cream cake. Two cake layers, two ice cream layers and one cookie layer - thus the height. Made with the 2006 Wilton heart pan. Iced with ganache. Fudge borders (Mrs. Richardson's brand). Chocolate heart scroll piped in chocolate (pattern taken from Wilton 2004 yearbook - cake titled "Hearts Delight")

Chocolate cake, Reese's Peanut Butter cup ice cream, chocolate whipped cream, chocolate melts hearts molds, piped chocolate heart scroll. (Heart scroll from Wilton 2004 yearbook - cake titled "Heart's Delight". I reduced the pattern in my copier to fit the 6" round.)
