This 3D carved cake was created to celebrate the birthday of a guy who loves Patron tequila. With edible images, fondant accents and a crisped rice treats for the neck and cork, the entire thing is edible. We photographed it next to the real bottle and box to show just how much it looks like the real thing. Also makes a great groom's cake!
Dahlias And Dots
This cake was covered in white chocolate fondant and decorated with piped dots and fresh dahlias.
This cake was made from an 8 inch round, with the top and bottom cut off to form the purse. Covered in fondant and adorned with embossed accents to mimic real leather. The gumpaste handle and fondant button latch complete the look.
This mini pumpkin was done using Wilton's mini ball pan. I stuck to halves together and covered with fondant, using the handle of a paint brush to make the grooves in the fondant.
Vegan Valentine Cookies
A cookie bouquet made from vegan roll-out sugar cookies and decorated with a glaze icing (vegans don't eat royal because it's made from eggs)
This was a chocolate vegan cake that a frieds asked me to bake. Spatula striping make roses and a simple border so much more interesting. It is a 6-inch heart carved from an 8 inch square. My friend's husband was thrilled because he says the thing he misses most since becoming vegan... CAKE!
Colorful Mmf Tier Cake
This cake is an 8 in and 10 in (contour pans for top layer of each tier) with ribbon trim and fresh flower topper to match ribbons.
A friends son was turning 6 and wanted a cake that looked like watermelon, so this is what I came up with. The cake is iced in buttercream. The red is a circle of wafer paper sprayed red with food color spray. The seeds are black piping gel.
This cake was done in buttercream. It was actually for the funeral of a family member, but would make a lovely baptism or communion cake as well. I used Wilton's cross pan and accented the base cake (12x18) with drop strings and drop flowers.
Yellow Roses Basket
Two-toned basketweave is my favorite because it makes the weaving really stand out. This cake is done in buttercream with a very simple design. I hope you all enjoy it!
Basketweave isn't just for easter and wedding cakes! I used it to create a fun and colorful patriotic cake. The cake and roses are done in buttercream. I used the spatula striping technique for the roses and wilton's firework cupcake pics to add some sparkle.
Gold And Violet
Inspired by a Wilton cake, this was a 14" square cake covered in buttercream and adorned with flowers and stringwork.
Tropical Baby Shower
This was a baby shower cake for a mom who is a polynesian dancer. They wanted a tropical themed cake, so I created this oval-shaped cake accented with cookies in tropical shapes. The baby's blankie is made of fondant and the "sand" is brown sugar.
