This was carved from the Wilton Wonder Doll mold pan. Some of the coins are plastic and others are chocholate coins. Fondant icing and sponge painted the sack. This was a fun and very easy cake to do. I found this one on CakeCentral. This was one of the 3 cakes I did for my son's 5th B-day. A sack of gold, treasure chest and a pirate ship.
Well when I did this one, no one really knew what it was... I thought it was a good idea making a chest out of cupcakes. Plastic gold coins and fondant pearls. This was for my son on is B-day for our small gathering.
Treasure Chest. I baked 3 sheet cakes and cut them in 1/2 and stacked 3 on the bottom. Then stacked 3 for the top and carved the top to make it round. Fondant accents for the gold. Rock candy and some plastic necklaces found at Walmart. I was please with the turn out. This was one of 3 cakes I did for my son's 5th B-day.
