This was my first attempt at modeling with chocolate. I used instructions from Marian Franza in the Sept/Oct 2012 American Cake Decorating Magazine. Her instructions are for fondant but were easily adapted to chocolate. It was lots of fun and I really enjoyed working with the chocolate.
I made this cake for my neice's graduation from college. It was fun to do and a little different then my norm. I am really into fondant figures but they are just not my neice's style! A thank you goes to Toptier for the side design on the cake. I had seen a picture in the galleries along time ago and had been wanting to give it a try. Thanks for looking!
Kristen's Graduation Cake
Made for my neice's graduation from Nursing School. Iced in buttercream, modeled figures, used an edible image for the ekg strip border.
Melissa's Baby Shower
This cake was made using the shower invitation and nursery for inspiration. Iced in buttercream using Sugarshack's method. This was my first time using the First Impressions Baby Mold. I couldn't believe how easy it was to use. TFL
Mr & Mrs P With Alien
I am in the process of making figures for my youngest Grandson's 5th Birthday Cake. I am going to have to ship them to my Daughter and she will have to make the cake and decorate it with the figures. It will be my first time shipping figures. I hope they make it in one piece! TFL
This is definitely not the best cake I've ever made, but I was happy with how the figures turned out. Cake is buttercream, figures made from Satin Ice with Tylose added.
Pirate Cupcake Or Mini Cake Topper
I like playing around with fondant. Here is my version of the pirate cupcake topper
Automotive Tech Retirement
retirement cake for my husbands coworker. His toolbox is so large he has to use a stool to reach the tools in the top. He was surprised and happy with his cake.
Josh And Britt's Wedding
This was my gift to my Nephew and his Bride for their wedding. The figures, are made from fondant with tylose. I used pictures of the helmet, jacket and the bride and grooms uniform and gown as my guide. I'm happy to report they were very pleased. Thanks for looking!
I am making my nephew's wedding cake in May. This is a practice Bride. I have some changes and improvements to make, but I feel like I'm off to an ok start. Thanks for looking.

Deb's Birthday At The Beach
I made this for my Boss's Birthday. She is more of a friend than a Boss! It's Sugarshack's Buttercream, crunched up Nilla Wafers for sand. Figures are made of gumpaste. TFL
I made this today for a friend's Birthday. The inspiration was taken from a note card by Mary Eberbreit. Yellow cake, lemon filling. Buttercream and fondant. TFL.
4Th Of July Picnic
I made this to take to my sister's picnic tonight. Hershey's Choc. cake with Hershey's choc. filling. Buttercream icing with fondant accents. The cake could have been better, but the bow was an experiment and I'm very happy with how it turned out. TFL.
My entry in the Great American Cake Show. Made from fondant mixed with Tylose, used royal icing or chocolate for the glue, on the box, depending on what I was attaching. All figures were hand modeled also using Satin Ice fondant with tylose. TFL

Pop Pop's 85Th Birthday
This is for my FIL. His party is today and I hope he is pleased! He is a retired farmer. The picture on top is of his barn, and the little log house on the front is a Smokehouse he recently restored and is very proud of! The inspiration for this cake came from Sugarshack's farm cake. TFL.
This is an 8" square. I used the shower invitation for the design idea. Buttercream with fondant accents. My ribbon looks bumpy, but that is because I used the fabric impression roller on it to give it some texture, but it doesn't show up in the photo. Thanks to Aine2 for her lamb video! TFL.
For my youngest Grandson's Birthday party tomorrow. This is not the cake I had originally planned, but we had a medical emergency in the family and this was the best I could do under the circumstances. At least it's for a 3 year old who really doesn't care as long as it's chocolate cake!! LOL. TFL
I am thinking ahead to spring! Aine2 is at right at the top of my list as favorite decorators. She has me hooked on modeling with fondant. I think her little monkey and bear cupcake toppers are adorable and decided to try my hand at something for Easter! TFL.
This was my Grandson's request for his 6th Birthday. I will be adding a brown ribbon around the board, but took the picture before I had a chance to get the ribbon added. White, Sour Cream Cake with Choc. BC and Choc fondant. I don't have an airbrush, but did the best I could with what I had! TFL
