This was my first attempt at modeling with chocolate. I used instructions from Marian Franza in the Sept/Oct 2012 American Cake Decorating Magazine. Her instructions are for fondant but were easily adapted to chocolate. It was lots of fun and I really enjoyed working with the chocolate.
I made this cake for my neice's graduation from college. It was fun to do and a little different then my norm. I am really into fondant figures but they are just not my neice's style! Made for my neice's graduation from Nursing School. Iced in buttercream, modeled figures, used an edible image for the ekg strip border.
This cake was made using the shower invitation and nursery for inspiration. Iced in buttercream using Sugarshack's method. This was my first time using the First Impressions Baby Mold. I couldn't believe how easy it was to use. TFL
I am in the process of making figures for my youngest Grandson's 5th Birthday Cake. I am going to have to ship them to my Daughter and she will have to make the cake and decorate it with the figures. It will be my first time shipping figures. I hope they make it in one piece! TFL
This is definitely not the best cake I've ever made, but I was happy with how the figures turned out. Cake is buttercream, figures made from Satin Ice with Tylose added.

retirement cake for my husbands coworker. His toolbox is so large he has to use a stool to reach the tools in the top. He was surprised and happy with his cake.
This was my gift to my Nephew and his Bride for their wedding. The figures, are made from fondant with tylose. I used pictures of the helmet, jacket and the bride and grooms uniform and gown as my guide. I'm happy to report they were very pleased. Thanks for looking!

I made this to take to my sister's picnic tonight. Hershey's Choc. cake with Hershey's choc. filling. Buttercream icing with fondant accents. The cake could have been better, but the bow was an experiment and I'm very happy with how it turned out. TFL.
My entry in the Great American Cake Show. Made from fondant mixed with Tylose, used royal icing or chocolate for the glue, on the box, depending on what I was attaching. All figures were hand modeled also using Satin Ice fondant with tylose. TFL
I made this cake for the staff at an Assisted Living Facility where my Aunt who is in the end stages of Alzheimers has lived for 8 years! The Nurses and Aides there are wonderful. I took it to them today. I hope they like it. Buttercream with fondant accents. TFL

This is an 8" square. I used the shower invitation for the design idea. Buttercream with fondant accents. My ribbon looks bumpy, but that is because I used the fabric impression roller on it to give it some texture, but it doesn't show up in the photo. Thanks to Aine2 for her lamb video! TFL.
For my youngest Grandson's Birthday party tomorrow. This is not the cake I had originally planned, but we had a medical emergency in the family and this was the best I could do under the circumstances. At least it's for a 3 year old who really doesn't care as long as it's chocolate cake!! LOL. TFL

This was my Grandson's request for his 6th Birthday. I will be adding a brown ribbon around the board, but took the picture before I had a chance to get the ribbon added. White, Sour Cream Cake with Choc. BC and Choc fondant. I don't have an airbrush, but did the best I could with what I had! TFL
