Pikachu
Pika Pika Pikachu! Oh this cake was so fun to make. Baked 3 8" and 3 7" vanilla cakes and filled with chocolate buttercream. Divided with cake boards every 4" tiers and used bobba straws for internal support. Covered in ganache for a clean finish and then covered with a 50/50 mix. Ears were made of rice crispy treats and tail was styroboard covered with 50/50 mix too (gasp, it's not edible!)

Novation Keyboard Mixer
This cake was made to celebrate a friends graduation from Music Production school. This is a unit that is used to mix music and one he currently uses. Cake was airbrushed black, and all decorations except for keyboard were made of fondant. Microphone was made out of marsmallow treats. The buttons were inserted onto toothpicks to allow for movement, which was cool because they were able to adjust the sound :-)

THis cake was made for a volunteer who was celebrating 10 yrs of service in the telecom department. The shuttle bus is like the one he also drives on occasion. The spool is the RJ45 patch cable that is used for wireless/networking connections and the tool is a punch down tool used in the trade.

Ye Ole' Burger
I think this kind of cake is a rite of passage for many designers. I finally had the perfect opportunity to do it for my annual family reunion. It turned out better than what I anticipated as it's only the third time I use my airbrush machine. All details made of fondant, buns, tomatos and fries were airbrushed. Buns were 8", burger was carved 9" and covered in chocolate fondant. Ketchup and Mustard dispenser are not edible :-) Just added to the pic

Tara's Shower
This cake was for CC's heavenlycakes! She made my baby shower cake last year and drowve down to NYC and this year it was my turn to drive up to Albany! This mother to be however wanted the shower to be all about her, so I created a version of a Coach bag to suit the occasion. She is a Coach fanatic and I'm sure her handbags will be carrying baby things in the near future! Lulu the lamb was made of fondant, and dusted with tinted cornmeal.

Faith
Lovely cake for a Brittish couple that flew into NYC to get married. White on white fondant with gumpaste flowers. Shave 12" down to a 10" and a 9 to a 7 (bottom). They provided a picture of the cake they wanted, so I don't know who the original design is from. I like my version better thought :-)

Purse And Bible Table
I also made another Bible to go along with the purse. It was a gathering we had to celebrate the merger of two congregations. It was nice because we also had a memorabilia table with old publications, copies of ads back in the early 1900's etc...Someone thought the Bible was real and in trying to open it, cracked the bottom edge of the book.

Old Service Bag
For all the JWs out there, remember this service bag from ages ago...I know some of us still has one. Made out of a 12x18 pan and cut in 3 sections of 10x6. Placed fondant and board after first three layers of cake and filling then completed with the other three layers and covered all in fondant. Front buckle made of fondant. Free handed the flap and quilted with a tracing wheel. Pen is fondant and was eaten by honoree (Bethelites sent out as Special Pioneers to N.C.). H2H report and other book not ed
