Christmas Cupcake Tree
This year I was asked to donate a cake for our local Winery's Holiday Open House - this is what I came up with. I thought that it would be easier to serve cupcakes, and my presentation wouldn't disappear as it was cut. My husband made the tree stand for me, huge brownie points! All of the cupcakes were different flavor and design. All IMBC icing with some poinsettias, holly leaves and berries, some were actual little Christmas trees and I tried ornaments, but they need some work... Thanks for looking!

This cake was iced in IMBC dressed with a sage green MMF drape. Each cake had a different filling, white w/pistachio mousse, white w/butter pecan mousse, choc w/raspberry and white choc mousse and the top was white w/raspberry and pistachio mousse. I like how this turned out, but this cake made me vow to myself that I will not take cake orders around a major holiday!

Fall Basket
This is a bushel of flowers with ornamental pumpkins added to the arrangement. I have seen this design on this site, and thought that it would be perfect for a candle/jewelry Open House I was asked to make a cake for. This was my first time using MMF and I was very happy with it. Thank you to all that inspired this cake! Thanks for looking!

This was the cake I did for this past weekend. It is white cake with butter pecan mousse filling and chocolate cake with german choc filling (coconut pecan). It is all iced with IMBC. The flowers are all fresh. There is some scroll work next to the flower swag that may be hard to see. Thanks for looking!

Hollywood - County Fair Entry
This is my first attempt at any contest. I entered a twist of one of my previous cakes for the year's County Fair. The theme is Hollywood. The cake is styrofoam which is new to me and my icing got some air bubbles, UGH! Marilyn is hand molded from fondant, which was also a first this weekend. Popcorn is real and all other accents are fondant. Thanks for looking!

I did this cake for my daughter's teacher. The cake is iced in buttercream with some fondant accents. The stage coach and horse were made out of fondant and dusted with cocoa powder. I used a brush dipped in water to give it some definition and make it look more like wooden slats. The flowers came from my yard. Thanks for looking!

Princess Castle
This is my first castle cake and it was so much fun! I ran out of room for the little girl's name, so I made a letter "A" monogram out of some beads. My customer was going to add Disney Princesses and Dora on the cake at the party. The cake was white with BC and white choc raspberry mousse. Thanks for looking!

Thomas The Train
This is one of the cakes from this weekend. I really appreciate all of the ideas from this board and Ward's emails!! My customer wanted all IMBC and the blue wept - ugh! I had to disguise the best that I could, so not my best work unfortunatly! My customer seemed to like it and that's really what counts. Thanks for looking!
