just wondering, when you put the last skewer through the 2 tiers, how difficult is it to pierce through the card at the base of the top tier to continue to the bottom?
would it be easier to ....pre pierce the card using template for centre, then use that template to mark the entry point at the top?

I want to make a cake like this soon, what did you do to prepare the flowers to insert into the cake? Did you use straws or floral tape to keep the flower stems from touching the cake?
