I don't have a cookie press and my Dad asked me to make some spritz cookies - can I still make them without a cookie press?

I think using a piping bag with different tips would work just as well.  The star tip could make several different shapes (such as flower and wreath) and even a just a round tip for making wreaths and trees.  I've never made them this way but it seems like it would work.  Good luck, let us know what you come up with.

kkmcmahan is right, you can use a piping bag to make beautiful spritz cookies. We used this technique in school and it goes a lot faster than using a press. The possibilities are endless, hth.

If you do want to try a cookie press, this is the best one I've had so far.  The best part is that the cookie has an adjustment on top and you can make thicker cookies that hold up better as they are a bit more substancial.  they don't break as easy.  It's all aluminum, easy to clean, sanitize, and care for.  I'm sending for a second one to have in storage for a back up, as I' love this so much.
