Hi everyone,

I was active on here a couple of years ago and then took a really long break (made even longer due to illness), but I am back!

I am a hobbyist and am making two Bar/Bat Mitzvah cakes at the end of June, two birthday cakes in July, and my first wedding cake in August (well, not my first wedding cake, but my first BIG wedding cake).

It seems that it has gotten significantly quieter around here.  Maybe the cake-making trend of a few years ago has started to die down?

AIt is significantly quieter. Some of us felt like we were/are fighting a loosing battle and are tired if being called bullies &/or tired of regurgitating the same exact answer to pricing questions.

I don't want to say something for which I will get banned. But suffice it to say, the unicorn & rainbows brigade drove a lot of the smart, sensible people away.

C'mon tell the truth........ we all found a better place to hang out - and we built in a unicorn fence!

AThis thread is making me sad.

The vibe is somber now, it would seem. Where has everyone been driven off to?
