AI'm planning on doing a banana split type cake, with pineapples, strawberries, bananas, etc. but I'm trying to figure out how to get some of each flavor in each piece of cake. Do I layer the fruits? Put them in rows? Mix them together? Put a little of each on the cake slice as I go to serve it? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. :)
Also how do I keep the bananas from browning?
AYum, sounds delicious! I would think it would be more pleasing to the eyes if each layer would have one type of fruit (probably 3 layers). You can add a bit of lemon juice to the bananas to keep them from browning :) goodluck!

I hope it tastes as good as it sounds in my head. Lol. I forgot to mention that it's going to be a sheet cake and a type that I can't cut into layers.
This is a banana split cake I did last year. I did 4 layers with in between layers, pineapple and whip cream, strawberry pie filling and last layer with the bananas. And yes I did alittle lemon juice on the bananas to keep them from browning and use ripe bananas but not mushy. Topped with Hershys hot fudge. It was delicious.
