AHello people! Can anyone suggest me a web designer for my website? I can make my own logo, business card and flyer but I don't have the knowledge to make a professional website.

Thanks

Hi The Italian Baker,

Not sure where you are located but if you are looking for an in person website designer (someone you can meet, talk to one the phone, easy access to for changes) it's best to check out your local listings, then ask for referrals or see their reviews.

Another option, since it seems you are somewhat computer savvy is http://www.wix.com You can design your website yourself, they have tons of really professional looking templates that you can start from and there's no coding of any sort. They also bundle everything like buying your domain name and website hosting with their premium packages. However, the ease of use also means if you ever decide to switch hosting companies (e.g. GoDaddy, Wordpress, etc...) you can't take your Wix made website with you.

I made my website in Wix and have been very happy with ease of use and level of customer support.  While I'm tech savvy, I don't want to spend a lot of time workng on my website (I'd much rather be making cakes!)

HTH!

ASee if you can find a college or high school student that would help you for a small fee.

YES!!! Well, I happen to know someone who should have a link to the worst website you'll ever lay eyes on. [@]costumeczar[/@], do you still have a link to that site with the crazy colors and links? Remember? Yvonne something, I think? It was for bridal gowns and random weirdness?

AAwww dangit, looks like it's gone. Well I googled worst website bridal, and sure enough, it was listed on a worst website list...lol. Yvette's Bridal is what it was. Jackson Pollack does LSD, a fitting description.

Ah, yes...Yvette's Bridal Formals, known far and wide for its horribleness. The best part of that were the links that went to "the artist's" page, that psycho guy who thought he was an artist. The deeper you dug there the more conspiracy theory pages came up. Soooo weird.

I certainly didn't mean to suggest THAT guy! LOL

Ask around....if you don't have the money to spend on a seasoned professional, there are plenty of people and plenty of site builders (wordpress, wix, etc.) that aren't too difficult to navigate.

Good luck!

The fart noise added to the ambience and added another dimension to the crazy.

OK! That was horrifying and an assault on all of my senses as I also heard strange farting sounds. However, my interest is peaked.... I also live in Panama City & will now have to make a visit to see if it's as sensory abusive in the actual storefront! Wish me luck I'm going in.........

I used to live in Panama City...I think that you'd have to go find the home of "the artist" to really get the full experience. I suspect that he lives in one of those little houses with lots of dirt patches and overgrown palmettos that kind of lurk around on dusty side roads down there.

CC, you always crack me up! :D I absolutely got that shack in the woods vibe from the website (kinda Buffalo Billish from Silence of the Lambs) so maybe I'll look at the shop and hope I get out alive.

AWww.bludomain.com is what I recommend. It's geared for photographers, but that makes no difference. Super super simple, drag and drop everything, couldn't be easier. I cannot have someone maintain my site for me. I need to be able to log in and upload stuff and make changes when I want, not wait for someone else to do it.

We watched Silence of the Lambs last night! My daughter has a fear of ferns now, she says they remind her of the atmosphere inside his dungeon/house

I feel very cheated, my ipad doesn't play the noise. When i try to open it on my desktop it shuts the whole browser down. I'll have to try it on my phone.
