AI desperately need to know what fondant fellow UK decorators are using or if anyone knows of amazing fondant I can get hold of in the UK!! Before taking my hobby so seriously I was just using Tesco supermarket fondant, but since iv been doing more and more iv encountered some problems with it tearing etc. With my last cake I got desperate and bought several blocks of 'Renshaw ready to roll' and this was perfect to work with however it's expensive for such a small amount!! So pleeease I need advice, I have several more orders coming up and don't want to be stuck with rubbish fondant!!

AHi Tessholly, when I saw the title I knew what I was going to say but now I've read your post I might not be much help! I would recommend sugarpastedirect, it's been raved about in the UK thread and I used it for the first time on the weekend, I loved it, really stretchy, not at all sticky. I used to use Tesco's own which was ok and I used Renshaws and hated it! Too soft, couldn't get on with it at all! The sugarpastedirect is £15 or £16 for 5kg so even though it's a lot to part with it doesn't work out much more than the supermarkets.

AI also recommend sugarpaste direct. Www.sugarpastedirect.com

I have had no issues with it at all. The other I like is covapaste. Only seen that in sugar supply shops though.

Personally I hate most everything dr oetker, it just has a real fake chemical smell and taste to it (appart from the pizza, that's good:) )
