AHow is it that one dozen petit fours is going to be the end of me? I made 5 batches of pound cake almost 7 dozen petit fours and I tried pouring fondant, chocolate ganash and buttercream and NOTHING covered these damn things I tried round square nothing worked. These petit four are due tomorrow, I work until 30 min before there due I don't know what to do other then cry!!!!
AMy daughter ane i had the same problem a year ago, we ended up covering them in fondant. They looked perfect! Here is a link to the picture. Hth

this is a tutorial by ddaigle. I made three batches right off the bat and her instructions worked well.

Thank you both so much. I decided I'm going to give them a dozen cupcakes free, a refund for the petit fours and a coupon for a free dozen cupcakes. It's almost 11 and no time to remake tonight. :( but thank your for the tips I will use them in the future and for sure not charge $10 that was dumb of me

My friend ordered petit fours for a party one time to fit the "tea party" theme. The baker could not execute them properly and she ended up having something like a cupcake. I feel bad the customer won't have what they anticipated for their event. I suggest next time you practice a technique before you take on a customer's request to save yourself the stress and the customer's disappointment.
