What else can you use left over cake for besides cake pops?

It's difficult to remember a time when there was 'left over' cake.  No help here.

A lot of my customers buy a larger cake than they need, so they can have left overs.  I have let them know to cut the left over cake into serving size and put the slices into the freezer until they firm up.  Then they can wrap in plastic wrap and put them into an air proof container, like Tupperware. When they want some dessert or a midnight treat they can get a slice out and let it thaw.  Doesn't take long.  Keep your leftovers in a container and when you have enough you can just mix them all together and ice it and have a rainbow cake.

You can make petit fours, cake mini PB&J sandwiches, or cake bread pudding...or how about freezing it as samples for cake consultations?

I work at a bakery and we have cakes that are left over or cake scraps.  Just wondering if there was anything you could make out of it.

Try Russian Tea Cakes. It is both a Rhode Island and New Orleans thing.  Take old slices of cake, frosting included.  Slather on some jam.  Press it into a pan, cover it, and put a weight on it for 12-24 hours.  When done, frost the top, cut and serve.  The consistency will be closer to fruitcake.  The flavor will be pot luck.  Very good.

Sounds like a total stoner thing to do. Heh heh...reminds me of my youth and the creative "delicacies" I would come up with in my parents fridge at 3am.
