Anybody Have Any Good Ideas For Easter?

ANow that we're a third of the way through Lent, I'm starting to remember how last year, I wanted to come up with a nice Easter cake, but never did come up with anything holiday-themed.
On the one hand, I don't want something purely secular (e.g., an anthropomorphic rabbit pushing a wheelbarrow full of decorated eggs). Nor any silly puns (like a basket filled with cans of a volatile organic compound that was once commonly used as an anesthetic -- The "Ether Bunny"). But on the other hand, most of the religious-themed ideas that occurred to me seemed either a tad morbid, or a tad tasteless.
Any ideas?
Hmm. Cute, but too secular.
And a big OOPS; the visual pun I alluded to would be an ether BASKET, not an ether BUNNY!
I could avoid cliches, avoid secularization, and avoid having something that's "too much Good Friday, not enough Easter" by just writing the opening line or two of my favorite Easter hymn:
Hail Thee, Festival Day!
Blest day that art hallowed forever
perhaps surrounded by flowers.
How does that sound?
AIt sounds..... perfectly James :-D and I mean that with absolutely no disparagement!
MBalaska's idea is however myself to a T ha ha - I am very very tempted to give it a go!

That's just k8 now I can't decide between the two! Lol
K8, that is one of my very favorite Easter cartoons! What?!? haha I send it to my family and friends every year!
James - how about a ,cake that's fun on the outside, whether its a "peep", basket or bunny and a surprise inside - like a cross or infinity symbol? Best of both worlds!

as an aside--i'm thinking about making the kids (in their 30's now) easter baskets this year--
one year we had an easter egg hunt (for them as adults) all the eggs had money --the grand prize egg had a twenty dollar bill in it--it was fierce and fun
♥
An Easter Egg hunt with money inside would become a blood sport for my siblings. In other words, I may suggest it. That may be just the ticket to get one of my brothers to fly in! And if someone falls while the 'hunt' is on, all the better! Sadly, we are all supposed 'adults' with age 7 senses of humor.
Maybe there's even an idea in that for James - without the necessity for bandaids!

For something religious Easter without morbid, perhaps a sheet cake with a cross cut out and removed from it, symbolizing that Christ is no longer in the tomb, but risen? If you start with a square cake divided in a grid 5 units x 5 units and remove squares forming a cross 4 units high by 3 units wide, you can line up the extra pieces at the bottom, resulting in a cake 5 units wide by 6 units high with one square unit left over as a bonus for the baker.
It sounds..... perfectly James and I mean that with absolutely no disparagement!

Here's how it turned out. Not too bad, for something thrown together quickly for family, after dinner.
And if anybody's wondering, yes, I had that hymn playing in a loop on my car CD player all morning, going to church.
