Hello everyone,

This is my first post on here 8-).  I am going to be doing a Monsters Inc. cake and I will be doing Sully's fur.  I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of which type of blue to use to color the icing to match his fur color.  Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

AI used Wilton sky blue. Then I "painted" the inside of the piping bag with more of the color, to give some definition and variation. here is a close up of the unfinished cake.

Oh that is an awesome idea and the cake looks great!!! Did you paint the entire inside of the piping bag?

What a great idea. Thanks for sharing this. I will be working on a 4 tier Monsters Inc. Baby Shower cake in the next 2 weeks. This is definitely helpful.

AI just painted some stripes from top to bottom, and added more as my frosting got low. Extra word of advice, don't make any flavors that require melted chocolate or citrus zest, the grass tip cloggs up really easily.
