I'm looking to purchase a silicon mat and was wondering which is better Fat Daddios fondant mat or Ateco fondant mat? Or is there a different brand that is better? Thanks in advance.

I have an Ateco mat, it was pretty much a coin toss on which to buy.  How could anyone buy them all & try them.......too expensive.  Before that it was just the counter top which actually worked fine.  For my small stuff I end up using the silpat mat most of the time.

Thanks for the response, sorry for the late reply, been really busy with the holidays.

I guess I should reword my question to which silicon mat do you have and what do you like and not like about it. And if you could would you purchase it again or buy another brand?

I have The Mat which I find too difficult to use due to my tiny kitchen, if you come to Paris you are welcome to it!

I'll actually be in NY next week so if you live there (or anyone else) if I have enough luggage space I'll bring it and you can pick it up there. Seriously!

I'd buy the least expensive. There used to be differences when they first began making these kinds of mats but that was 10 years or so ago. They all are good now.

The Mat isn't meant for baking............so don't try to use that............ha.

Thanks, with several different brands out there it's just hard to decide which one to buy, and they are abit pricey so I just didn't want to buy one that will just end up collecting dust lol.. But if there isn't much difference between the mats I will definitely buy the cheapest one :)
