Hello you all !

Might sound stupid because should be obvious, but do you determine the amount of cake by the amount of flour you use to make it?

Just to confirm, I just got my first order of cake and I dont want to mess up :)

thank you guys!

AWait, what? Are you talking about the number of servings for an event? I'm a little confused...

Hi AnniCahill, well, where I live they sell the cakes by pound; $40 for a pound. and I just want to know if a pound cake is the one you make with 1 Lb of flour.

AYou might want to let people know where you live because that's not how it's done elsewhere.

AYou determine it by the diameter of the cake!

AOoohhhhh sorry for my ignorance! Are you in Europe somewhere? Italy? I've always wondered how that works. I've heard people charging by the weight for cookies and cakes but I'm not entirely clear on how to do that.

No disrespect at all.  I was just confused.

So you are a Dominican who lives in PA?  You may want to charge by the serving because that's what people are generally used to in the US.
